Rogue tiptoed as quietly as possible. She was headed toward Logan's room, and didn't want to be caught. Just as she touched the door nob...

"Rogue, its late, what are you doing up? And here?" Scott called from behind her.

Wincing, she turned. "I was just goin' to see Logan 'bout somthin'. Nothin' ta worry bout." She stammered, making her deep south accent come back full force.

Scott smirked. "Then you won't mind showing me whats behind your back. Hand it over." He frowned as she handed over two nail polish bottles. "Powder-Puff Pink? Mediteranian Ice? Why would you need these in his room?"

She scuffed her toe on the floor. "He pissed me off. i was gonna' paint his nails while he was asleep, ta get him back fo'ar it. I guess I need ta go back ta mah room now huh?" she squirmed, accent still coming loud and clear.

Scott chuckled. "No, actually, I think I might help you out here. Even though I'm a teacher, it can be nice acting like a juvenile delinquent. Sounds like fun."

"Really? Okay."

Rogue quietly opened the door while Scott stood guard. "Logan?" she whispered.

No answer.

Very slowly, Rogue popped the cap on the bottles, hoping the fumes wouldn't wake him. he grumbled and shifted but didn't open his eyes a peep. He must be exausted from earlier.

She took a brush and started from the back edge of his nail and pulled the brush back toward her. If she was doing this she was going to do it right. Alternating between pink and blue, she finished her work and capped the bottles. Holding in giggles, she tiptoed back out and shut the door quietly behind her.

Scott smirked. "Deed done?"

Rogue nodded.

"What'd he do to tick you off this much? i mean, no offense to your mad revenge plan, but painting a guy's nails seems a bit much."

"He healed me. I fell down the stairs earlier and he touched me so i wouldn't have a concussion and two cracked ribs."

Scott got this knowing look on his face. "Oh, and your mad 'cause he healed you when you didn't want to hurt him."

"Right."

"Well i can't wait to see what happens."

The next morning at breakfast, Rogue heard an ear-splitting screech, and she guessed he put his claws through the door nob in his room, followed by a loud crash and a yell.

"MARIE!"

Rogue laughed and looked at Scott. He smirked and winked, then put his finger to his lips in a hushing motion. It would be their little secret.
