"Hermione it's late. Drop your stupid SPEW stuff and go to bed." Ron had just realized he had forgotten something in the Gryffandor common room, but he didn't expect to see Hermione still writing papers on S.P.E.W at this hour.

Hermione, who had looked already aggravated snapped. "Its S.P.E.W Ron, not BLOODY SPEW!!!" with one glance it him, she returned to her writing.

Utterly shocked Ron couldn't help but let out a chuckle. "Hermione Granger did you just SWEAR? Or was I hearing things."

"Ron just leave me alone alright? Leave me and my stupid work, and honestly if you think I'm so stupid why do you hang around me? Without me you would have failed everything by now, so i wouldn't be talking" she was clearly a tad hurt by his remark against S.P.E.W even though she knew it wasn't to her he was directing his comment to.

"Hermione I didn't say you were stupid, I said-"

"Well that's pretty much the same thing now isn't it." it wasn't a question, but rather a statement.

"No way! You're the smartest person I've ever known, I'd be a bloody idiot to call you stupid-"

"Well no ones denying that you're an idiot Ronald." she muttered under her breath.

Ron decided to let it slide, something was clearly up with Hermione, so he sat down next to her.

"Alright so you gonna tell me what's up?"

"Nothing is up Ron!" she tried not to yell to hard.

"Yeah... clearly, you're as happy as a summers day. So spill it 'Mione."

"Don't call me 'Mione!!"

"And since when has that ever bothered you??"

"Since..." she paused to think, that never did bother her. And didn't now either. In fact she rather liked it, "right now..." she muttered.

"I see. Bringing us back to why you are upset."

"I'M NOT!" she slammed her pencil against the little table she was writing on.

"Um.. Alright a tad spazy..." he noticed her eyes were getting watery so he corrected himself, "but if you really want me to, I'll shut up. I'll just sit right here and wait... yup, not feeling tired anymore."

"Fine." she wiped her eyes. It was mainly at Ron she was upset at, but for the most idiotic reason, and she couldn't admit to to Ron that she had acted stupidly after she just yelled at him like that.

"You know... I didn't really notice earlier... but your hair is rather strait today..."

"Yes Ron it is! It is! Was that hard to notice? Because frizzy and strait hair are completely different and-"

"Is that what it's about?" he was grinning which seemed to piss Hermione off even more, he had began now to suspect Hermione's attitude.

"What..." she mumbled hoping that Ron hadn't caught on.

"You're mad at me because I didn't say anything about your hair." he smirked a little.

"Well that isn't the only thing... But yes that may have applied..."

"Hermione I didn't say anything because I think your hair is beautiful either way."

Hermione looked up, that had been an extremely sweet compliment but she didn't want to admit it. "You're just saying that so I could stop being angry at you."

"No honestly, I love your hair I think it's perfectly bushy." he was being honest, he loved Hermione's hair. As he loved every bit of Hermione.

"Well if you really mean it-"

"I do mean it." he grinned, noticing her face had completely lightened up. He found it rather amusing that she had been so angry about something as little as that.

"Okay then, i suppose you're forgiven." she smiled at him, and he smiled back. She added, "This is perfect timing for a hug I think..."

"I think I agree," he pulled her up from the ground she was sitting onto his lap, and embraced her from the back.

"I must admit, I think your hair does look rather nice now, but it's just so non - Hermione ish..."

she giggled, "Yeah, I might agree to that."
