Ichigo
I woke up and sighed. Today was father's day and my father could be a pain. I knew what he'd like. A simple fishing trip and some time with his three kids. Yuzu and Karin didn't like fishing so this was all me.
Unfortunately I hate to fish, but my dad enjoys it. I woke him up early that day and told him my plans. He immediately jumped out of bed and got dressed.
Now we're sitting at the river talking and fishing. I remember the times we did when I was younger. Karin and Yuzu very little, mom there caring for them. We never did much just father and son then, not when mom was here.
After four hours of no bites we went home. We were both hungry and Yuzu was cooking when we got there. She knew how much to fix with us both starved so she had it all laid out already.
"Thanks Yuzu, it was great," I said.
"No problem Ichigo," she replied.
"Hey what was our plan for the rest of the day?" I asked.
"We each spend a little time with dad alone, then at the end of the day we watch a movie together. No phones or anything," she said.
"Alright," I said when in fact it was not.
I went to Rukia, who was in my room. I'm not sure if she knew this day, seeing as she was a soul reaper from the soul society. She may not have ever celebrated such a thing.
"Rukia. We've got a problem," I said.
"It's not an Espada, Arrancar, or Minos Grande is it?" She asked.
"It's probably worse. I can't fufill my soul reaper duties this afternoon," I said.
She stared at me like I was insane. I sighed and went into a long explaination about what father's day is and how important it is that we celebrate today. Then I got to why I couldn't be a soul reaper today. She sighed, but luckily she had her powers back so she could do all my work for me. Unless an emergency called, then I would have to. Only dad knows about this though, not my sisters.
So the day was spent with dad and Karin going to a game, you know, basketball or football. I don't know. Yuzu took him to bass pro, where he got a boat and some new fishing and hunting gear. That boat had to go into storage because our home doesn't have a garage, just a built in clinic that we run.
At the end of the day everyone thought of a movie that was out that he might want to see. Or a rental. We bought him the movie Act of Valor. We watched the movie, then we watched G.I. Joe, and G.I. Joe Retailation.
At the end of the movie dad stood up and before going to his room he said:
"That was the best Father's Day ever. Thanks kids."
The End.
*hope all you kids and dads enjoyed. Happy Father's Day to all Dad's. Love you Dad! Don't forget to remind them you love them, and how much you appreciate them.*
