In their world where people were born with a soul mark it was one of the most precious thing. Everyone is born with one. However the trick was that not everyone can meet their soulmate. Thus there were people who went through life without meeting their mark.
At school Sakura acted too shy to show her soul mark. It is an unsaid agreement to never force someone to show their mark if they didn't want to.
First day of class.
Everyone getting to know who's who and introducing themselves. Then the hot topic of soul mark came up that everyone wants to talk about.
When a soul mark appears its white in color with black outline making it easy to tell.
When Soulmates meet and say their first words to each other, their marks would flare up and change to their soulmates eye color.
Sakura glanced around as everyone started to talk about it.
When came her turn to talk about her soul mark Sakura shyly glanced down and said that she didn't think anyone matched her mark.
A perspective Shikamaru sitting behind her shot everyone a look from his eyes to drop the matter. He caught on quickly earlier that she didn't want to talk about her mark.
Thankfully no one pressed the matter.
A minute later sensei came and Sakura close her eyes in relief.
Hopefully this will be the last time anyone asks about her soul mark.
A week later everyone formed solid groups of people, strangely Sakura and Shikamaru seem to have formed a companionship. The girl who barely speaks except when the teacher calls her and the lazy boy who sleeps through out all school hour.
When do they even speak? Everyone wants to know!
One day at lunch Sakura was eating a sandwich and saw a brown haired boy walking by from her seat next to the window. She stared at the red triangular marks on his cheeks and wondered about what they studied during today's history class.
She knew they weren't his soul mark
Inuzuka clan. One of Konoha's old clans residing here for generations.
They are born with the additional clan mark's that mark them as Inuzuka.
Sakura took another bite of her sandwich, chewed and watched as the brown haired boy finally disappeared around the corner.
