A.N. Hey guys! Here's a little onshot related to the PS of the first chapter in Dear Younger Me. Enjoy and review!
Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
11:30 p.m.
Harry was wandering around the muggle candy store in London. It seemed as if all the husbands and boyfriends in London were shopping for candy for their significant other half an hour before the clock chimed midnight on February 14.
11:34 p.m.
Harry reached the chocolate counter in the far right corner of the store. The saleswoman asked him what he needed. At this point, Harry had no clue on what kind of candy to get Ginny on their second Valentine's day together an their first as a married couple. He thought back to a couple of days ago when he saw Ginny putting a package of white chocolate squares into the fridge. "I'll take a box of your finest white chocolate.
11:44 p.m.
Harry stood alone in a dark alley by the candy store, holding a velvet heart-shaped box of white chocolates with 'I Love You Ginny' written on it. He held on tightly to the
box and Apparated to the jewelry store in Diagon Alley.
11:46 p.m.
Harry stepped inside the store and immediately headed to the bracket section of the store. He knew for a fact that Ginny couldn't stand necklaces and that both her hands were quite crowded with rings, so he decided to find her a bracelet.
11:52 p.m.
Harry stepped out of the store, happy with the purchase he made. The jewelry store, Gemma's Jewels, had a special 'Make your own bracelet counter', where you pick the metal, the gems and the extras to get the bracelet of your dreams in a matter of seconds (with a little magic). The first bracelet Harry got for Ginny was gold, embedded with rubies (representing Gryffindor colors). The second bracelet was white gold, embedded with diamonds to match Ginny's wedding ring. The third and final bracelet was a sterling silver charm bracelet, currently holding a single charm and plenty of space for more. The charm had Harry and Ginny's faces on it. Each bracelet was beautifully wrapped in a velvet box with a bow on it.
11:55 p.m.
Harry arrived at home. "Ginny? Where are you?" Ginny came running in from the living room and held Harry in a tight embrace.
11:58 p.m.
They let go of each other and Ginny turned her attention to the gift bag Harry held in his hands. "What's that?" "It's for you." With that Ginny grabbed the bag and took out a bracelet box. When she opened it she gasped and turned around to give Harry a quick kiss on the cheek. This happened with each of the bracelets. Finally, she pulled out the box of chocolates. "Ooooooo, I hope they're my favorite, dark chocolate." The color drained from Harry's face. Before she could open the box, Harry snatched the box away from her. "Er, actually, these chocolates aren't for you, they're for Hermione." "What do you mean? It says 'I Love You Ginny' on the box." With that she grabbed back the box of chocolates and opened it. "Harry..." He gulped. "I love you!" "Huh?" "Don't look so surprised, you knew I loved you already." "But...but...I thought you didn't like white chocolate." "I don't, but since you bought, I'll eat it and love every minute of it."
12:00 a.m.
At that second, the clock chimed 12. The couple leaned in and met in the middle, sharing a kiss filled
with passion and the taste of white chocolate.
