A.N.: This is a fanfic based on the episode "Cedric Apprentice". For the sake of making this sound better in writing, I've changed a little things here and there, but the main plot remains the same. I was really surprised to have not found a fic based on this episode (maybe I didn't look hard enough?), and a little upset, to be completely honest. It is because of this that I have decided to write on based on said episode. That being said, this is a Cedfia fic. If you have a problem with this pairing, do not read, do not leave rude reviews, you get the drift. This is more fluff than anything, no adult content will be present. With all the boring, informative stuff out of the way, I hope you enjoy this!
Sofia's POV
"Welcome to your first day of sorcery school!" said Miss Fauna.
"This is so exciting! I can't wait to learn magic!" I said. I really did want to learn magic. It's so amazing how you can create something like a ruby out of a simple rock.
"It is exciting! Well, when you get the spells right…" James said.
"To perform magic, you say the magic words carefully while flicking your wand." Miss Fauna demonstrated a spell to turn a rock into a ruby.
"Muttato Rubio!" the fairy exclaimed with confidence, waving her wand above her head.
The rock shook for a few seconds, and then transformed into a beautiful ruby. The class was in awe.
"Now you try children!"
Seems simple enough, I thought as a grabbed my wand and began to attempt the spell. Here I go!
"Muttato Rubio!" I said with as much might as I could muster, flicking the wand in what I thought was the correct way. I was sure I was going to get the spell right of the bat. "Sofia the Sorcereress", that's what they'll call me, I thought. Unfortunately, the spell didn't go exactly as planned; I ended up turning the rock into an apple instead of a ruby. I'm not even hungry… I thought, kind of upset with myself for not transforming the rock into the intended item. I know this time I'll it! I told myself, proceeding to attempt the spell once more.
"Muttato Rubio!" This time, the rock became a potato. Once again, I already had breakfast… I tried once more.
"Muttato Rubio!" Nope, that's a pumpkin.
This might be more difficult than I thought… The girl next to me had done the spell perfectly, why couldn't I?
"Alright children! You can practice more at home. We have two other spells to learn today!" Miss Fauna told us.
"There's more?!" I squeaked, squirming with discomfort.
"Don't forget, there will be a test at the end of the week over the spells covered in today's lesson!"
"There's… A TEST?!" I squirmed further in my chair.
"There's always a test…" James added nonchalantly.
I sat down the rest of class and tried the best I could to get the spells, but none of them worked. I was sincerely worried for the end of the week.
Fast forward to later at the castle
"Muttato Rubio!" I shouted. Like it had many time before this, the spell failed. Why was this so impossible for me?
"What am I going to do? I have to learn all this sorcery and two days and I'm nowhere near ready." I vented to Clover.
"If you need help in sorcery, why not see a sorcerer?" the rabbit said, stuffing his face with one of my failed spells.
"Mr. Ceedric!" I remembered. I left Clover to devour the food I had made unintentionally to see the royal sorcerer.
