Nobody Like Her
A/N It's been a little while since I wrote a Shrek fic. I felt like writing one for Artie because he's awesome along with Shrek. I hope people like.
It was just an normal day in Far, Far Away as Artie was taking a walk through the forest. He was feeling a little down at the moment and needed to relax. He'd been thinking about his father after the dream he'd been having last night.
"Look boys it's the so called King!" a hunter jeered as his friends were about to tie him up but something distracted him as they ran off.
It was a young girl in warrior gear.
"Wow what happened to her?
She looks like she was in a fight or something. " he thought as he waited for her to wake up.
He was curious about her as he got water from a nearby spring. He then poured some over her to wake her up.
He heard coughing as her hazel eyes opened.
"W-What's going on?" she asked confused but worried.
"Hey it's okay.
I'm Artie.
You were passed out in the forest but why're you wearing that warrior gear?
What're you doing out here?" he asked curiously as she fixed her shoulder length messy black hair.
"I'm not sure what I'm doing here.
My name is Demi and I've been a warrior princess since I was born. But I..... ran away." she answered resheathing her sword.
"Ran away from who?" Artie asked her.
"M-My father." she said clutching her head as she sank to her armoured knees.
Artie was worried for her as he picked her up and decided to take her back to his castle. He knew Lillian and the others would be mad but he couldn't leave her out there to be seriously hurt.
She needed medical attention and clean clothes.
Lillian wondered who the strange girl was that her newphew had brought home but was a little happy. She had been trying to get Artie to have other friends beside her son in law.
Artie had put her in a room near his and was cleaning her wounds. He wondered how she'd gotten them but would wait until she was awake again to ask her but there was something about her that made her different from other girls in the kingdom. He then went to have something to eat.
But later that night he heard moaning from Demi's room and entered.
She was moaning in pain but glowing a little.
That surprised him but hoped she was okay.
But somebody from Artie's past had seen him bring the girl into the kingdom and smiled.
"So he finally took that little freak in at last.
Everything's going according to plan and soon the kingdom will be mine!" he thought as he kept a watchful eye on Far, Far Away......
