The call

Summary: No one likes having to call the EMT's. NOTE: based on a true story. and not from one of those reality shows. my sister used to be an EMT. and for those of you too stupid to know what an EMT is, it stands for Emergency Medical Team. as in those people in the ambulance. and BTW, this takes place between 1989-1991

Terry (Teresa): played by Courtney

The rest of the EMT Team: Trent, DJ, Beth

Courtney was waiting in the emergency entrance of the hospital, leaning against the red and white GMC ambulance with the rest of the EMT crew.

"So Court, got any plans this weekend?" DJ asked curiously

"I don't know. Duncan's got something special planned." Courtney stated wondering what the surprise was.

"oooooh! Sounds romantic." Beth cooed

The loudspeaker came on suddenly. "Attention ambulance crew 13. We have a car accident on route 13."

"You heard the loudspeaker! Let's move!" Trent yelled as he got in the driver's seat in a rush. They all quickly piled into the ambulance and took off, V8 engine screaming as the tires screeched from the harsh takeoff.

Courtney was checking to see if everything was ready in the van as they sped through light and blasted through speed limits to get to the accident. "Trent. They send anymore info yet?"

"Yeah. apparently it's a brand new Mustang convertible. The driver was a 16 year old punk trying to show off. Be prepared for some grisly carnage" No matter what Trent said, he couldn't ease Courtney's nerves. It was her first ever call and she didn't want to screw up and ruin someone's life. The pressure was on as they turned onto Route 13 on the highway.

They slowed down seeing something in the distance. a white convertible... The ambulance slowed to a stop and Courtney looked in horror at the wreckage of the car. The metal was twisted and mangled, not to mention covered in blood. If it wasn't for the "5.0 GT" badging on the side, you wouldn't have known it was a Mustang. The rear of the car was wrapped around a tree while the rest was half ripped off and unidentifiable. The car was almost ripped in half through the middle and the tiremarks on the road leading to it suggested the kid lost control. Despite the mangled and twisted car, the radio was still playing... "Heartbreaker" by Pat Benatar.

Trent was the first to notice something amiss. He spotted the body. "Guys... where's his head?" Courtney swallowed hard. It was all she could do to keep from vomiting.

She looked at the bloodied clothes on the kids body. She couldn't tell who it was and the clothes were too mangled to identify but he was definitely dead.

She walked off, needing to vomit by the woods.

But she tripped and landed on her face. She turned around to see what she tripped over and screamed. It was the kid's head.

Trent walked over and put a helmet on the head.

When Courtney stopped screaming a minute later, she passed out. DJ carried her limp form back to the ambulance. Courtney didn't want to believe it, but it was true.

A/N: ok they only thing not true is my sister wasn't dating the victim. I did that for dramatic affect. other than that, it's completely true. you should have noticed my hints at what was happening. there were all over the place. This is a oneshot but I might extend it if I get enough reviews and people like it enough.
