"Testing, testing, 123..." Tony DiNozzo checked his mike. Then he put in his earpiece.
"Ziva, can you hear me? Ziva!"
"I'm a bit busy, Tony!"
"Ziva, this is my first time doing karaoke professionally. I need someone to practice for. Should I do my Sean Connery impression? I can do a really good Robert Wagner. Or what about that guy from Dark Angel, Michael Weatherly? Can you hear me?"
Ziva grunted.
"Ziva, is someone in there with you?"
"I said, I'm busy, Tony!" growled Ziva, panting.
"What kind of busy?" he asked innocently. The doors opened.
"The kind of busy three is when three is trying to subdue two armed men at the same time!" she said, walking in with an impressive array of assorted weaponry in her arms.
"Three? Three?"
"Third person, Tony."
"Do you mean one?"
"No! If I meant to say one I would just use the word I!"
"...I'm pretty sure you meant one."
She stared at him. He grinned back.
"Or maybe you meant I should do all three? Sean Connery, Robert Wagner and Michael Weatherly all at the same time? Could be difficult, Ziva, but I think a professional can do anything."
She gave him a look, dumped the weapons in an evidence crate, and stalked out.
"Ziva! I'm a professional and I'm asking for your advice! You should be appreciative."
"Tony, you are masquerading as a "professional". You really are not a "professional". Still, since you are coming over as a man who cannot stop making a fool of himself, and that's what all of your American comedy is about, I suppose you could be tolerably passable."
"Coming across, Ziva, not coming over."
Silence. Then he heard some crackling.
"Ziva?"
"DiNozzo, clear away the evidence crates. We have one hour to clean up the crime scene and get this place back into business."
"Yes, Boss."
"And Tony?"
"Yes, Boss?"
"I think ... Michael Weatherly."
"I got this, boss."
"Oh, I know, DiNozzo."
...
"Reciting Hamlet with a Donald Duck voice? Purely coincidental."
...
"And that other time in the bathroom? Also a coincidence."
...
"Okay, I've been practicing, but really I just needed to brush up a little and-"
"Dinozzo, get to work."
"On it, boss."
