Notes:April is loosely based on Pete Wosdom in terms of her powers and past.April and Rahne are old friends and almost sisters(not by blood).

April Chandler had just escaped Black Air and ran to Muir Island to hide.She only had one thing on her mind,Rahne and Pete,her two best friends and two of the few who knew her secert.April is a mutant,hot knives to be exact and she was forced into Black Air the year before.But before she makes it to the ferry,anti-mutant forces grab the girl and pull her into an alley.Over the next hour,April was gang raped and beaten for what she was and for what she did while in Black Air.she kept hearing the voices in her mind calling her everything from "mutie slut" to much worse.Somehow she escaped and made it to the ferry landing.She called Rahne from the ferry and pours her heart out,"Rahne,I was raped and I'm coming to Muir.Ok,I'm bloody beat up and scared to death".Rahne tells her friend,"I'll be waiting at the dock and Moria will want to check you out where you arrival". "I know Rahne,i know" April whispers into the phone.One hour later,the ferry arrivals on Muir Island and April reaches Rahne and soft sobs tear the girl apart."It's ok,I'm here now and those goons can't find you here" Rahne tries to reassure April."Rahne,it was that bad.I was bloody raped by at least 10 goons and i have the scars to show for it.They used me as a human punching bag and i still feel everything in me mind" April whispers as she tries not to cry
3 weeks later:
April comes off the plane at NY and starts to look for her ride to the school.She looks at the e-mail and reads the name,"Betsy Braddock" she mutters as a woman with purple hair comes over."You must be April" she asks with a smile."You must be Rahne's friend Betsy" April said as she saw herself in a mirror.The last 3 weeks had not been kind.Limp hair,enought cuts and brusises to stock an army from the rape,hollow cheekbones,her once sapphire blue eyes are now bloodshot red from tears,intense flashbacks to the attack,and a deep fear of her past comeing back to haunt her.Betsy sees how bad the girl looks and decides to get her back to the school and let Jean take a look at her."I know,you're scared and you look like you need some sleep" Betsy told April."Nailed it,been living on nothing more than tea for 3 weeks" April admits as she tries to get in the car.Betsy puts her bag in the trunk and gets in,"You're safe now"
