Author's Note: Didn't post much things lately cause well I had a stomache flu, still do. I think I know what you're thinking right now. Why do you always use butterflies in your fics? Well I don't use butterflies a lot. I have a poem call the Raining Butterfly cause I like butterflies. And also because I got this fic idea from a No Doubt song (again!). Well enjoy and R&R
The Beautiful Butterfly
Have you ever seen a butterfly? One that is trap in your hands? I have, not really but I have something that's close to that. And the butterfly's name it's Duo Maxwell.
It seems weird but no matter how much you want to hold the butterfly forever you know that you'll have to let it go some how or it'll die. Duo and I were like that. I am always the one trapping him in my hands looking at the beautiful butterfly while he is trying to get out of my clutch.
And the wonderful thing it's, the butterfly leaves behind colorful dust when you let it go so you can always remember that you did a good thing of letting it go. Letting it fly freely to it's destaination. I guess I should start from the beginning...
I remember the first time that I saw Duo, he was wearing his baseball hat as always. Till this day I am still wondering why he likes to wear that baseball hat so much. It was right after Deathscyth got blown up at least that's what he told me. And I think I instantly fall in love with him. The love turns out to be obession after the war. I know that he doesn't love me, he loves the perfect solider even though I have never seen the man myself. I know that he must be perfect to have Duo's heart.
Well after the war Duo went to hang out with Heero for a year or so and I came back to L2 to open up a business. But then I still don't know what to do yet since OZ it's gone and I don't have my monthly paycheck anymore. Me and Duo went out on dates once ot twice and I thought that he likes me but the truth it's that he sees me as a sister.
And after A.C. 197 Duo and I moved in together. Now that's when my 'love' got out of hand. I thought that he wants to take the relationship on another level so I well I kiss him. He doesn't want to hurt my feelings so he told me he's not ready and I believe that! Maybe it's because of my loniless that I have sink into the sea of confusion. I think I know that he and Heero were going out then, he just didn't tell me. Did I tell you about Heero? Oh yeah he's the perfect solider. I was such an idiot. I heard that Miss Relena and I got the same problem only on 2 different guys. Hers it's Heero. And me well I think you know.
So finally I realize that Duo doesn't love the way I hope he would so I let him go. He looks so happy when I did. And I am happy for him too. And we're still really good friends. And now I have a person I can love too. He's Shiji, a boy that I've known since childhood. I think I've learned a lot during my time with Duo Maxwell and have also grown up a lot. Cause the beautiful butterfly will always have a place in my heart no matter what.
