"Come on, Lils, just one little date? If you absolutely hate it, I'll never bother you again!" James Potter begged, going down on his knees and clasping his hands for show.

"No." Lily Evans answered before turning back to her friends.

"Come on!" He said, standing up. "No! Honestly, James Potter, you are the single most annoying person I have ever had the misfortune of meeting!" Lily told him.

James thought about it for a moment. "Even more than Snivelous?"

"Severus is my friend! Now get away before I test a new jinx I learned on you." She shrieked, waving her wand threateningly. James sighed dramatically. "If the lady bideth me to do so, than I shall do so." He said before walking over to his friends.

As he plopped down on the ground, Sirius said, "Honestly, mate, don't you think you're going a bit far? Half the female population here at Hogwarts would gladly date you, though I honestly don't see why with you being a spindly four-eyed git and all-" James cleared his throat loudly to get Sirius back on track, and Sirius continued, "But you've got your eye set on the one girl who keeps on rejecting you!"

James stretched on the ground and put his arms behind his head, "The rejection is what makes it fun!" "So you enjoy knowing that you'll never get her?" Sirius said.

"Padfoot, mate, never say never." James smiled.

"Really?" Lupin said, looking up from the book he was reading, "What about just last week when you said, and I quote, 'I'll never be able to pass this test!'?"

"That's different." James frowned. "How so?" Lupin asked.

"Well, for starters, it's true, I didn't pass that test-" "Only because you didn't study." "And two-" "Two? Where's one?" "I was talking about an entirely different thing."

"Oh, just give up!" Sirius cried, "Your never going to get her! She's as stubborn as hell!"

"Language, Mr. Black!" James said in a squeaky voice, and then said in a normal voice, "But no, I won't give up. I'm as stuborn as hell to."

"That's all to true." Sirius muttered to himself, "All to true."

I'm obsessed with TRAIN songs. This is what comes from that obsession.

Also, I'm not so sure if Lily should be the second character, seeing as she is only in the begining, but oh well. She's the second character.
