Curiosity Killed the... Cat?
From his spot on the windowsill, Artemis asked, "Has Luna been eating a lot lately?"
"Huh?" Minako glanced up from the magazine she was reading. "Maybe she's just hungry? But don't let her hear you--women are sensitive about those types of things!"
The cat sighed. "I'm just worried, that's all." With an annoyed flick of his tail, he attempted to let that question move to the back of his mind. Maybe he was just over thinking it.
"You know… I think I miss seeing Diana run around here," Luna mentioned a few days later.
He studied her, then chuckled. "So do I. Maybe she'll pop in on us again sometime?"
Stretching, his companion murmured, "Sooner than you think, maybe?" and began to walk slowly across the roof they'd been resting on.
"Soon? Do you know something I don't?" His tail moved with curiosity , and he quickened his stride so as to be next to her. "She's not hiding at Usagi's, is she?"
A soft snort. "Not necessarily hiding, no."
"Come on, Luna, why are you being so secretive right now? It's a simple question, isn't it?"
When she paused for a moment, her front paw slightly in the air, he realized he'd said the wrong thing. "Artemis, if she's not hiding and you'll see her soon, what do you think I mean?" Under her breath, he heard her call him an idiot.
"…so that's why you've been eating so much."
Her eyebrow twitched. "I'm eating for two now, you know," she grumbled, pawing his nose with slight annoyance.
His response was to simply nuzzle against her.
