Blue eyes watched eagerly as the dark haired boy kicked autumn leaves into the crisp air. The sky burst into colors of oranges and browns, which complemented nicely in the background of Sasuke's stocky figure.

Ino didn't want to follow to close, in fear that the Uchiha boy would brush her off as if she was nothing more than another school girl who just saw a pretty face. But it was hard not want to get a better look at the boys face, so she could just have a chance of seeing a glimpse of emotion. Ino inwardly cursed her curiously.

A few young boys with red headbands around their heads and wooden swords in hand pushed past Ino, knocking her off balance. She stumbled backwards and fell back into a bundle of rose bushes.

The boys giggled feverishly as Ino cursed at them, attempting to follow them as they ran off, but just fell backwards.

Ino wined painfully and laid back into the bushes, which pinched at her exposed skin. If someone were to glance sideways at the girl they would think she had died, gracefully lied across a bundle of roses.

Sasuke had disappeared in the mess of the Sunday mob and the chilly breeze. Ino let herself ponder on what it'd be like if Sasuke had come to her rescue, holding out one of his thick, scarred hands for her to grasp.

How would they feel?

Ino closed her eyes tight and tried to imprint the image in her mind. Her, arm and arm with the Uchiha boy, walking in the autumn air for everyone to see.

Down the street, across the old ramen shop a certain dark haired boy stood with a sly smirk on his face.
