Chelsea Scott sat on the edge of the bed hunched over her husband's laptop. She was scanning over her husband's latest chapter for his upcoming book. She turned and gave him a smile as she stared at him shirtless, asleep in their bed.

She turned and placed the laptop besides her and crawled up and gently kissed him on the lips.

"Good morning Lucas" she whispered in his ear

"Good morning" he replied as he softly returned the kiss

Chelsea sat up quickly.

"Baby I am so excited about meeting all your high school friends" she nearly sang as she hopped off the bed and got ready to hop in the shower

"Ugh babe you sure you want to go"? he asked shyly as he sat up in the bed

"What"? she asked defensively as she entered from the bathroom in a towel

"I just mean, you know I don't want you to feel out of place" he stuttered

"Out of place" she replied sarcastically as she took a few steps forward

"You know what I mean" he began

"No Lucas I don't know what you mean. But I do know that I'm your wife and I want to meet the people who are important to you. I mean do you not want me to come"? she asked defensively

"Chelsea that's not it. I just-"he began

"Good. Then we're leaving for your high school reunion as husband and wife" she concluded

Lucas nodded in a type of forced agreement

"Okay" she said as she stood up from the bed

"Now uh I'm gonna go take a shower" she said in a sexy voice

"You want to come" she said as she opened her towel

Lucas stood slowly out of the bed.

Chelsea quickly folded her towel back and uttered "fine"

"Were you on my laptop" he asked as he pointed at the computer on the edge of the bed

"Yeah I was reading your latest chapter" Chelsea said as she pinned her hair up

"Every time I've wanted you to read one of my chapters I've given it to you. I didn't give you this one" he said in a frustrated tone

"So what you don't want me reading your work now"? she asked angrily

"I don't need you editing my work, I have an editor for that. And from this point on I'd appreciate it you if you stay off my computer" he demanded

"Fine" she admitted quickly as she stormed off to the shower.

Lucas grabbed his hoodie off the rack and started down the hallway of their beautiful apartment. He had a lot to think about. He took his phone out of his jacket pocket and dialed a very familiar number.

"Hello" a voice said

"Hi I'm calling to finalize the details on the publishing of the novel, "A first time to remember" he said in almost a whisper.

"Yes we've been awaiting your call. Was the book to your approval Mr. Viejo"? the publisher asked

"Yes" he said still whispering

"You didn't include a first name for publishing Mr. Viejo was this on purpose"? the publisher asked

"Yes, no first name should be published" he whispered as he continued walking

"All right well it should hit presses within the week, and your check will be mailed to you" the publisher stated

"Thank you" he replied quickly

"I have to tell you Mr. Viejo, the demand for your book has been great. I mean there's waiting list off of a two page promoter. Its on the top five list before its even been published. That's an amazing feat you should be very proud" the publisher continued

"I've been working on it for years, I'm very proud of it" Lucas concluded

"One question, do you have a sales report for a book written by a Lucas Scott" he asked nervously.

"Ah yes, actually between me and you we are getting ready to terminate that contract with the author due to a tremendous lack of sales" she responded

Lucas' heart sank.

"Guess everyone doesn't have your touch" she said with a laugh

"Is there anything else I can help you with, Mr. Viejo"? she asked

"No, thanks" Lucas said as he slowly hung up the phone.
