Summary: Vocaloid High, a high school where smart kids attended. Among the crowds of smarties, there was Miku Hatsune. She was gifted and the teachers adored her. But something about Miku was a mystery. Nobody knew her past and she didn't tell anyone. Not even her closest friends. What will happened when a part of her past comes to school as the new boy?

Miku's POV:

It was a beautiful Spring day here at Vocaloid High. Everybody just laughed and chattered with their friends. I wished that I could be so carefree like everyone else. But of course, that could never happen cause of that haunting past. Oh, how I wished so much that I didn't have to remember it every second.

*flashback*

"Miku-chan!" a young boy called. "oh?" Miku turned around to see the boy running to her with two ice cream cones in his hands. "I got you ice cream Miku-chan!" the boy said happily. "ah! Arigato! (thank you)" Miku said before licking her ice cream. "itw swo gwood (it's so good)." she said through the chocolate in her mouth. "mhm!" the boy agreed. They were both in the park and after they were done stuffing their face with chocolate ice cream (lol! :P), they both walked out of the park as the sun was setting. "hey, can we make a promise to never ever leave each other?" Miku asked the boy as they were walking down the sidewalk. "okay!" the boy said. "here," Miku said as she pulled out her pinky, "this will be the seal to the promise." "sure!" the boy and Miku entwined pinkys and the seal was made.

The next day;

Miku waited at the park for the boy. He was at least 20 minutes late. "miku dear!" Miku turned around to see her mother running to her. " I'm sorry miku but i'm afraid to say that your friend just left town, 20 minutes ago. The last words he said was that he was sorry for not able to keep up with his promise." Miku's mom patted her head as Miku didn't say anything. She just stood there motionless. "are you okay, Miku dear?" her mother asked. Miku still didn't say anything and a shadow was cast on her upper face hiding her eyes. Then, something shimmering came down her face. It was a tear drop and another one fell after that one and another one until tears came down her face uncontrollably. "why?" was all she asked. Her mother looked very worried and tried to comfort her but failed. Her mother then said, "why don't we go home. It's getting late and i'll make your favorite dinner. Okay?" "okay." was all Miku could say and with that, she and her mother trudged on home. Miku knew that the boy was gone forever. Along with ther promise broken after they just made the promise.

*flashback end*

Miku could feel tears coming from her eyes. "Miku-chan? Daijoudon? (what's wrong?)." Miku looked up and saw her best friend. Luka. "nothing." Miku quickly said and she wiped her tears away with her shirt sleeve. "are you sure?" Luka asked. "yes! I am!" Miku said happily and forced a smile. "okay then." Luka said even though she knew that the smile and happiness was fake. "I just heard some news from the teachers. They said that we are going to have a new student. "who will be the new student?" Miku asked. "well, it's going to be a boy and he's our age. I heard his name and his name is Len Kagamine." Miku felt her eyes grow the size of saucers. "Len..."
