Manifesto, Noncontradiction
By SMYGO4EVA

Ryou Bakura: pure, innocent, and a good friend. His only sin was for being in existence when he would only be used as a vessel by a spirit of nocturne.

He is a pure individual, incapable of harming others, and filled to the brim with loneliness and the need for companionship. I know that he is more than just a teenager with a shy composure and irreproachable demeanor; he carries his dark power by himself, his own cross to bear.

Ryou Bakura, I understand what it means to be alone. Yes, I know exactly what it means to be alone: not in the way that Yugi Moto, The Pharaoh or any of their companions would know, but I do know. My brother was almost taken by the darkness that controlled him, nearly dragging him to the depths of hell. Odion, my other brother, was truck down because of the darkness that nearly destroyed Malik. Ryou, on the other hand, has no one, unfortunately. His mother and sister passed away when he was a small child, and his father is always away on archeological trips. Yes, Ryou is a seemingly dark boy, and yet he is strong in his own right; even in the darkest of times, he will be strong. A light that would not be snuffed so easily by the blackness that is also controlling him.

Ryou Bakura, he is a pure soul. He is the only person who truly knows what darkness truly is, and I am the only one who can understand what he has suffered. He too has companions that help him in times of need and during the times of play and pure enjoyment, especially with two who have placed in the same fate as he. I have worried about him, as his only crime was for simply being there when darkness was present.

Know this, Ryou Bakura, you will vanquish the evil that is within, and you will see the light of day once more, the light that you manifest through and through.

Just know that you are Ryou Bakura, a beautiful noncontradiction.
