Loving Victor

AN: I am rewriting the Victor/Tea/Todd scene from Monday's episode on 8-22-2011. I am adding Marty Saybrooke, because I felt cheated that the writer's didn't have her character involved in this story line.

"Now that you know the truth, do you love me?" Victor asked Tea.

"How can I? I don't even know who you are. You're a liar and an imposter that made me fall in love with a lie. You're not Todd Manning, you're a stranger,"Tea said shaking her head in disbelief.

"I didn't know. I was brainwashed into believing that I was Todd Manning. I never wanted to hurt you," Victor stammered as he tried to explain his position to Tea.

Tea slapped him across the face with all the anger and the hurt that had built within her these last few months. "That's just a convenient excuse, but I'm not buying it for one minute," Tea said as she walked out the door, slamming it shut in the process."

Are you okay?" Marty asked as she walked around the corner.

"God Marty, you really need to stop eavesdropping."

"I got to have my fun somehow. I was getting bored in the poolhouse."

"I'm not going down because you can't stay put. If the police catches you here, they will arrest you."

"I know, but I was careful. I'm sorry about Tea, I thought if anybody would stand by your side it would be her."

"How much did you overhear?"

"Enough to know that you're not Todd Manning, but instead his twin brother Victor."

"Well?"

"Well, What?" Marty asked.

"Aren't you going to call me a liar and a cheat? Aren't you going to slap me in the face? Aren't you going to abandon me the way that everybody else does in my life?"

Marty walked closer and closer to Victor. "No, I'm not going to hit you or leave you, but I am going to do this," Marty said as she leaned in and kissed Victor.

"What was that for?"Victor asked when they pulled apart. "Aren't you mad at me?" Victor asked.

"No, I'm not mad at you. I'm pissed as hell at your mother though. I can't believe she would brainwash you and hold Todd captive for all these years."

"So, you believe me?"

"Of course I believe you and I kissed you earlier because I wanted to show you that you're not alone. You've been an amazing friend these last few weeks. You've given me a place to hide. You've lied to Tea and to your kids to protect me. You're a good man Victor, it's why I fell in love with you in the first place."

"What are you saying?" Victor asked. He had never gotten over losing Marty. He still loved her, that's why he had risked everything for her when she needed a place to hide, but he didn't want to get his hopes up. Ironically he had lost her when she found out who Todd Manning really was to her and now it seemed like he was getting her back now that she knew that he was never Todd in the first place.

"I'm saying that I know what it's like to find out that the life you've been living is a lie. I know how lost, confused and broken you are because I've been there. Let me be there for you. Let me love you and comfort you tonight and I'll help you figure out who you are in the morning."

"I love you Marty."

"I love you too Victor," Marty said as she grabbed his hand and led him up the stairs.

Todd reached Victor's house. He clutched the gun in his hand as he went in pursuit of his brother. He had to make Victor pay for stealing everyone that he had ever loved. The house was dark and seemed empty so Todd walked up the stairs. He could hear voices coming from the bedroom.

Todd cracked the door open and then he saw her lying Naked in his brother's arms. Todd's hand shook as he lowered the gun. It took everything in him not to fire, but he couldn't not with Marty in the room.

"I love you Victor," Todd heard Marty say.

"I love you too."

Todd had heard enough. He slowly closed the door behind him and left the house. Victor had stolen the one woman Todd could never have and he vowed that Victor would pay for his betrayal.
