Baby
I just don't get it
Do you enjoy being hurt?
I know you
smelled the perfume, the make-up on his shirt
You don't believe
his stories
You know that they're all lies
Bad as you are, you
stick around and I just don't know why
Dutchy sighed as he watched the brown haired beauty he could have had walk out the door. He shook his head. It's not like someone that gorgeous could ever love someone like him anyways. He was just so plain…boring…but Specs. Darien. He was gorgeous. From his cute, untidy hair, to his broken glasses, to his beautiful eyes and tattered clothes, he was perfect. Dutchy stared out the window at his unrequited love and his boyfriend. He deserved better than Dutchy, true, but that boy he was with…he was horrible. He had this black hair that looked so greasy…and these small, beady eyes…Dutchy hated him. Besides that, he kept getting later, and later to see Specs, and when he did finally arrive, he had some strange smell. Like women's perfume.
If
I was your man (baby you'd)
Never worry bout (what I do)
I'd
be coming home (back to you)
Every night, doin' you right
You're
the type of woman (deserves good things)
Fistfuls of diamonds
(hand full of rings)
Baby you're a star (I just want to show you,
you are)
Dutchy smiled as Specs came back that night. "Hey Specsy."
Specs smiled back, walking over. He sat down next to him, and yawned.
"So…did you have a good time with What's-His-Name?"
Specs nodded, looking amused. "Yes." After a couple minutes of awkward talking, Specs went to sleep. Right on Dutchy's lap.
Dutchy smiled softly and stroked his hair, studying every inch of him. "Why can't you be mine?" he whispered softly, brushing his lips against the other boy's. He picked him up carefully and carried him over to his bed. "I love you." he said, barely audible. Then he himself went to bed.
You
should let me love you
Let me be the one to give you everything
you want and need
Ooh Baby good love and protection
Make me
your selection
Show you the way love's supposed to be
Baby
you should let me...
"…What?"
"Do you want to go dancing with me?"
"How can you afford that?"
"Believe me, I can."
Specs stared on in amazement. Was Dutchy asking him out? Or was it just a friendly date? Either way, he would be more than happy to go. Anything to spend time with the one he truly loved. He did care for Knives, but he was in love with Dutchy. Nothing could change that.
Dutchy smiled as he took Specs' hand. "Well then, come on." As they left, he smirked over at Knives, who glared at him, a blonde hiding behind him. Specs was so thick in the head, he never even noticed. But as thick as he could be about some things, he was perfect in almost everything else. But he could never love Dutchy.
Your
true beauty's description looks so good that it hurts
You're a
dime plus ninety-nine and it's a shame
Don't even know what
you're worth
Everywhere you go they stop and stare
Cause
you're bad and it shows
From your head to your toes, Out of
control, baby you know
Dutchy watched Specs dance in awe. He was amazing. The way he moved his body…the concentration…everything. But then, he was Specs. Just another thing to add to the list. He shook his head and stood up. "Hey…can I have this dance?"
Specs nodded, blushing lightly. They danced close, eyes closed, close together.
"You know…you're really amazing…" Dutchy whispered, unable to stop himself.
Specs looked up, blushing darker, eyes wide. "What?"
Dutchy blushed faintly and leaned down, kissing his love softly. When he pulled back, he smiled. "Sorry…I just couldn't stop myself."
Specs smiled back shyly, and kissed him.
They danced even closer.
Let me love you
