Jack bounced around David Jacobs room, yelling about how homework rhymed with nomework, when David had finally had enough.

"Jack. I am trying to finish my math, so please either be quiet or leave."

Jack pouted and stared as if his love had just smacked him across his face. Once the blue eyed beauty looked away, Cowboy smiled to himself. He was so perfect. No matter what, even if Jack continued to annoy him to no end, David would never leave. It made the refugee happy to have someone he cared so much for, care back.

Jack smiled and pulled Dave closer as they danced around his bedroom. For once, he felt at home. Not being chased by that damned Snyder, not being harassed by Race or Snitch, and no longer worrying about Santa Fe. "Davey, I love you." he whispered softly, spinning him.

David smiled back and said a small, quiet, 'I love you' in response.

When they kissed, it was so passionate, and loving, neither of them wanted it to end.

"Jack, get up…Jack…" David ran to his lover's side and pulled him up, trying not to collapse under his weight. "We have to get away before Snyder gets here…Jack, come on!"

Jack opened his mouth, but no words came out. He collapsed completely.

The smaller boy tried the best he could, dragging his love back to his house and laying him in bed. "I love you." he kissed his forehead and lay next to him.

Jack laughed at Dave as he tried to throw the ball to Blink. "Davey, you throw like….Snitch!" he ducked the ball that was thrown by Skittery and fell to the ground laughing. "Blink, where did the stick go?"

Blink looked around, blinking. "Mushy?"

Mush looked over at Race and sighed. "He's betting it again."

"RACE!" They all yelled in unison.

Said Italian looked up from his poker match, eyes wide. "Yeah?" After a few minutes, they finally got it back.

Jack smiled and kissed Dave…HIS Dave, on the cheek.

"You have to catch me, Davey!" Jack yelled, running farther. "And the only way I'll stop, is if you say….you'll marry me!"

Everything got quiet. The whole world stopped.

David's eyes widened, as did half of the newsboys. "J-Jack?!"

Jack smiled softly. "David Jacobs…" he kneeled. "Will you marry me?"

David was quiet for a moment, before smiling brightly and half-tackling Jack to the floor. "Yes!" he kissed him passionately, pulling him close.

Blink rose from his seat, clapping. Everyone shared blank looks.
