"Daddy!" The little boy ran through the house. "Daddy where are you?!"

Martin Zigmarl, commander of HOLY, was sitting in his private study, still working. He perked up when he heard young Elian yelling. "Elian?"

The small toddler ran into the room panting exhausted. "Daddy… I have a question!"

"…?" Martin raised an eyebrow interested. "Yes?"

"Can I get a puppy?!"

"…"

"Please?" The child begged with teary teal eyes.

"Elian… I don't think so…" Elian pouted and peeked over his father's desk on his tiptoes. "What you doing?"

"Work."

"Oh… still?"

"Yes Elian. I'm busy."

"Oh… okay… Can we get a puppy?" Elian smiled.

"No Elian…" Martin sighed and sorted some paperwork on his desk.

"But… why?" Elian climbed up into his father's lap.

"Because I said no Elian."

"Why can't I have a puppy? I'll take good care of it! I promise! I'll feed it and clean up after it!"

"Elian…" Martin put a hand on the boy's head, ruffling his blue hair. "We just can't…"

Elian pouted and crossed his arms leaning against his father's chest. "It's not fair… I'll practice with my alter more!" He finally decided aloud. Martin laughed.

What could it hurt, getting a puppy. Elian would have someone to play with when Martin had to work, and would be kept busy. Plus, the toddler said he would practice his alter more. "You'll practice your alter more if I get you a dog?"

"Yes."

"And you'll take good care of it?"

"Yup!" Elian looked up into his father's chocolate brown eyes.

"Then… I guess… we'll go to the pound tomorrow and get you a dog."

"Yay!" Elian threw his tiny arms around Martin's neck in a choking hug only a toddler could give. "Thank you daddy! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You're the bestest daddy ever! I'll go practice my alter now." The little boy hopped off Martin's lap and ran off.

"Heh..." Martin smiled and shook his head. He glanced at the mound of papers on his desk, then he shook his head standing up. He left his desk behind and went to find Elian. It was time to spend some time with the toddler, his cloned son. He sat down on the couch and watched as the boy concentrated on his alter ability, Absolute Perception. He was surrounded by the orange sphere, and Martin noticed his blocks were missing. At least it wasn't the television.

Martin slid onto the floor and grabbed Elian into a sneaky hug. The boy was startled, the bubble popped. "Wha?" When he realized it was his father he began to giggle.

"Elian… what kind of puppy do you want?"

"… A yellow one! With big floppy ears!"

"Alright. A dog with big floppy ears that's yellow. Just for you." Elian cuddled into his father's chest smiling brightly.

"Thank you daddy! I love you!"
