I just came up with this story and I need write it so here the first chapter . I own nothing

- Cadence

I look out the window as the car moves along the highway . I sight and turn up my IPod . People say Lightning doesn't strike twice in same place . It hard to believe when you have a double tragedy in family in the matter of two days . My dad died after car accident then my mom couldn't take it and overdose on piles the next day the worst thing is that my little sister prim found her . Now me and her are getting sent to live with our rich Uncle Haymich . I never really met him nor I remember him . But now me and prim are going live with him in his gated community and go to a private school .

" here go girls " our social worker tell us " here were you uncle live " she says as she parks the car in front of a huge light blue house . Then I see my uncle walk out he looks like how my did .

" you got old since the last time I say you two " he says I just roll my eyes .

" when was the last time you saw us " I ask.

" I don't know 2 and 6 " he say and shrugs . " pick what ever room you want on the scanned floor ill get the rest your stuff " he says. I know it heard for him two he just lost his only sister and his last of his direct family too .

" everything going be fine " I whisper to prim as walk up the stairs .

I pick a room with a window and a small balcony and small bath. I start unpacking a small suitcase I brought with me . I pull out a picture frame I look at the picture of my family that was taking on our last camping trip together . I sigh and put on a end table next to the queen size bed . Then I see my uncle bring some or my boxes in my room then I start to unpack . After finish unpacking and start to get ready for bed I hear a light nock at my door .

" Katniss " I hear prim say as she walks in to my room

" yea " I say

" I can I sleep with you tonight " she ask.

I nod and climbs in to my bed and I follower her .

" I miss them Katniss " she cries .

" me too prim " I tell her " we can get through it together. Then we slowly fall asleep .

The next morning me and prim get read for school for course with a private school I have to wear a school uniform after I put on I realize I can't stand the skirt I run to dresser and grabs some black leggings then grabs some scissors and I cut the leggings so look like longer shorts . The put some black converse on and a black hoodie on . I see the Prim is in her school uniform I notice that her shirt in un-tucked in the back. " you better tuck in the tail little duck " I tell her and tuck her shirt .

" thanks " she says. I nod . Then I grab her hand and we start to walk to the school . We have to work through a security gate to leave the community then I drop prim of to the middle school and walk to the high school .

I sigh I can do this I have to be strong so prim wont worry . Then I make way in to the school then run in to someone .
