Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto
A/N: I like writing angsty Sakura, even if I prefer it when she's happy in the manga. I'm terrible, right?
Tobi is cute in his strange way, Sakura decides, stroking his mask. She can't get him to take it off, even when she's touching him like this. It does make making out more creative though, and she's found at least eight different places where he really likes to be kissed. Although, he seems to like having his back rubbed more, which is fine by her.
When Tsunade had assigned her on this mission to infiltrate the Akatsuki, she'd known that as a new member and a probable spy she'd be left out when the others talked over their strategies. After all, she was only a medic, what reason would she have to know which jinchuuriki they were going after or what plans they were making?
She'd known she'd have to gain the trust of at least one member. And she'd been lucky to find Tobi on her first try. He was only too happy to talk over everything with her, whether it was his team mate Deidara or the part he was playing in tracking down the other tailed-beasts. Part of her knew it was her duty, but at the same time part of her felt terrible manipulating him. The problem was, she was beginning to develop feelings for him.
But despite her new vested interest that could jeopardize the mission, she knew she couldn't just request to leave. She had to see it to the end. Which meant betraying Akatsuki.
She didn't care about the others. It was just the time she spent wondering what would happen to him and what he'd think of her that hurt.
