Nobody cared. She was alone, tossed away by her family, shunned by birth.

She had friends, but no family. A boy she loved, her friends that loved her, but no loving home. A house, yes, but no heart. She was adopted, loved, but the empty feeling stayed with her as she grew up. Her stepmother, stepfather, step-cousins, step-everything, loved and nurtured her for the rest of her life.

She grew up to be brilliant, straight A's, until the reality of it all came crashing down. At the age of seven, she learned something, felt something that no kid should ever have to deal with. Her mother.. was not her real mother. None of her family was truly related to her. Surrounded by a crowd of people that loved her, she felt alone. Her biological mother abandoned her, just because she didn't want her. Because she didn't love her own daughter. The woman hated her own daughter so much, she gave birth to her and left.

Reality is harsh, as this girl soon found out. It was surreal, everything she grew up to believe was a lie. A big, awful, hurtful lie that destroyed her entire life. She slipped into a complete depression by the age of ten. About four years later, at fourteen, which she still is, the feeling slightly disappeared, but were still there, deep down inside.

One thought races through her head each and every day. "If my own mother doesn't want me, doesn't love me, how can anybody else?" This is how she is force to live.

She lives on, with the harsh knowledge and thoughts that she will never be truly loved. She knows deep down inside, that fairy tales and happy endings don't exist. For her life is just one of the true facts about that.

Do not feel angry at her for feeling this way, it's true. And there are many more people that feel the same way as her. The purpose of this is to get you, all those uneducated people out there, aware of what happens every day. One reason many people commit suicide is because this happens to them.

That girl, is me.
