Prologue
"Please, just wait. Let me explain." He begged
Explain what? There were no words that could possibly make it alright or even explain what had just happened. He'd ruined her, scarred her for life. There were no more words left to say. He'd let the best thing in his life go without even a fight. Maybe he didn't deserve her. Not after what he'd done. He could never even hope to deserve her. Never.
Tears had begun to pool in her lovely eyes; her bottom lip quivering.
"Just, let me go" she pleaded
And he did.
