Magic only come from harsh reality.
Hello my fellow MLP fans, I'm sort of a new writer for this sort of thing. So if you're interested, please bear with me.
If you've heard of the fan fiction rainbow factory, I assume most of the older fans have. You notice that in any videos or in stories, the bodies are just dropped or not mentioned at all, it merely focuses on draining the blood for pure spectra. Allow me to tell you what happens to the corpses one they are tossed. They are sent deep in the planets crust, the deepest point in Equestria. The bodies are taken to pinky pie for butchering, even though she doesn't like it when they are drained dry, then they are shipped to my department… The magic facility… yea, the magic we use comes from the bodies from the factory. Now before you sick the royal guard on me let me explain. Back when the rainbow factory was first established, there was a pile up of bodies and magic was running low due to decreased moral of the people… We were in tough times, but the founder of the magic facility, twilight, noticed, that some of the bodies had residual magic left in them that could still be used. Since magic isn't tangible it needs to be pressurized before it can be distributed, that's why it's so deep underground, we have to wear pressure suits just to keep our skulls from caving in… Anyway, the magic is extracted from the bodies and pressurized and pumped into the air from various points in Equestria. Workers like me tend to have very high power, that's why twilight is our boss. She keeps us in line so we don't rebel. To be honest… I hate this job…. But I'm scared to leave! The process normally takes a few hours thanks to an aging chamber we have. The bodies ferment and the magic becomes aromatic. The magic is separated from any foreign contaminants and pressurized for transport to the pumping stations. Now not all magic is good magic, some magic becomes thoroughly contaminated and becomes dark or chaotic magic. We've had a few incidents where employees have fallen into the supply of these and gone insane or horribly disfigured. I hear that some of them have been treated like gods or demons. Although… Those where the lucky ponies… Corrupted magic is very corrosive in its purest form and can eat a pony alive… Disposal of dark magic is tricky, it has to be pressurized even further into a crystal form, and long exposure to these crystals can corrode and mutate the body, charring it black or giving it a hideous green glow. There is an odd side effect of this, the body becomes very malleable, allowing the victim to change form, depending on if they survive or not. At one point there was a royal who tried to harness the power of the crystals. I heard he was successful… but at a high price, he became completely corrupted, producing condensed dark magic on his own. I also heard of a story of a mare discovering our storage of the crystals and getting trapped in it for quite some time, I never heard if she survived or not, but apparently she wasn't alone. Security in this place isn't very tight, and employees aren't cared for very well. Some have even been sent to the factory for rebelling or messing up to much… Every day, I feel twilight getting stronger and stronger, just recently she found a lock box that gave her a second form, and she got her own castle! Calling that she devil the princes of "friendship" I think a more appropriate title is slave driver. I won't disclose my name in fear of twilight finding out and hunting me down, but I will take on the title M.
