Characters belongs to Stephenie Meyer. This is just a fanmade story by me. Well, this is just some random fluffy love-confessing between a human Edward and a human Bella. Anyways..
Okay, this is my first one-shot that I've put up. This wasn't the first one I actually started working on, but this was finished first.

A Place in My Heart
"Do you believe in fate?" She asked me seriously.
"Well, I believe some things happen for reasons that are beyond us. So, yes, I suppose I do believe in fate. I just didn't think of it as that before, but that's completely right. I believe in fate."
"Do you think there's such a thing as 'love at first sight'?"
"Well, that there is fate, Bella." I said calmly, smiling. "I believe that 'love at first sight' equals to your 'the one', you know. Your souls connect instantly, as they've finally found what they've been searching for, ever since their births. One soul scattered come to be whole again. Beautiful. And that's life."
"What do you mean, 'that's life'?"
"I believe we are here on this Earth to find our missing pieces, the other part of our soul, our true love. That is life." I smiled warmly at her, but she just looked very thoughtful. And that triggered my curiousity. "But now I'm curious though. Is there a specific reason for these controversial questions that I'm missing out on?"
That made her eyes suddenly spark to life, and she looked up, straight at me. Her chocolate brown eyes stared deep into my green ones, and we continued this for several minutes, before..
"Are you going to tell me why, or am I going to have to guess?" I asked, still trapped by her mesmerizing brown eyes.
"It's nothing," she mumbled, as she turned away, breaking our connection. I didn't like that, so I placed my hand under her chin, making her look at me again.
"Bella..?"
"Edward.. I.." She began, hesitation visible in both her voice and on her face. She looked so cute then, especially when she bit down on her pink lips that were so soft and kissable that it was insane to think otherwise. "I've known you for, like, two years now.."
"Yes?" I urged, trying to understand her hidden meanings. Where was this going?
"And I'm afraid.."
"Afraid?" I asked, confused. What did she have to be afraid of?
She placed one finger on my lips to silence me, and continued;
"I'm afraid that what I'm going to say might change everything between us.."
She still held her finger against my lips, and I was afraid myself, but of where this really was going instead. Was she saying goodbye? The thought tore a little at my heart, and I decided to stop her before she said anything else.
I pressed my lips against her fingers once, and her eyes widened in shock at first, which then turned into the most angelic smile I've ever seen.
"Bella," I said softly, making her name sound like a caress. "There's a place in my heart that I keep reserved."
She looked at me, confused and wary, no doubt fearing what I'm about to say. Rejection or reasoning?
"And it's locked until that person choose to open it. I'm still waiting for that person to tell me to unlock my heart, and I think it might be time to let that someone truly in. What do you think?"
She seemed to be a loss for words, and simply nodded.
I smiled.
"I love you," she whispered, her soft voice barely audible.
My smile widened. "I love you, too."
Then she leaned closer, and so did I. Our lips connected and together they danced in synchronization, and we were in the sweetest oblivion.
Yeah.. cute, huh? I think so anyway.
