Chapter 4
As Abby and I walked into the school building, we heard a scream.
" The fuck..." Abby said as both of us started looking around. But saw nothing. That's when I noticed that we were the only ones outside.
"What was that?" I asked.
"I have no idea...but now, I just don't feel right."
In my head I was thinking, Damn, my first day and yet I feel weird.
"We should go inside. I don't feel safe outside now." Abby said as she started walking towards the door. I followed.
Everything looked completely different once we entered. The halls were disturbingly empty and it was so dark that I couldn't see any doors which was really strange because the windows were open and the sun was shining. We stood there for a minute, trying to get used to the dark. When I did, me and Abby started to quickly get tried to find our next class. As we walked, something caught me eye. I turned to look at a locker. MY locker. As I got closer to it, I realized something was sticking out. Abby turned and saw the same thing, but in her locker. We both pulled it out and I had to cover my mouth from screaming. In my hand was a broken mirror with blood on it. Abby had the same thing on her locker and she started shaking.
"What the hell is this? Is this some kind of joke?" She threw the mirror against the floor and stood next to me. "I-I-I don't think I wanna come to this scool again. This place is craa-"
Before I could even finish my sentance, black smoke came out of nowhere with a big bang that made me scream, causing Abby to scream as well. The black smoke circle us, then came together and next thing I know, a man with a long black robe popped out. He was marked. For those of you who don't know what being marked means, it's when you go through a change which changes you from being human to a vampyre. I looked at Abby and she gave him a disgustive look. I didn't know why, but I looked back at the strange man.
"Nyx has choosen you to be hers." It went silent for a minute, well, until Abby started laughing.
"You got to be fucken kidding me. There's no way Nyx has choosen us, and if she did, then why?" I just stared at her. I didn't know any single word she was talking about. All I knew from TV is that some people can get marked and next thing they know, they disappear. So I just stood there with a what-the-fuck-are-you-talking-about look when the man spoke.
"My goddess wants you." He points to me. Black smoke surrounds him again and pops out from behind us. "And you." He points at Abby. "And You." He points to a door that I never knew was there. Next thing I know, a guy comes out but stops as he realizes that a man was pointing at him. I felt HELLA sad once I saw the guy. My legs started shaking and I took a few steps towards him. "Matt?"
