Breaking Hearts

Chapter 1

I lay there banging my head on my lilac cushions, whilst I hammered my clenched fist into my purple bed covers. Why had I done this? Why had I made the worst decision in humanity?

This all began one month ago, when Alice told me a secret.

"Bella! Me and Emmett are, like ... DATING!" she'd said to me. I knew my expression was as shocked as my feelings, as Alice's face fell like a sheet of sheer glass, breaking and smashing as it fell, until it stopped with a painful scream as it hit the floor. I stared at her in disbelief, shock and horror!

"Alice! How could you?" I scolded at her. She looked offended, so I calmed down a bit, "What on earth did Jasper say? Does he even know?" I asked her.

"Honey, chill. It's called two timing and cheating! Obviously, Emmett is cheating on Rosalie! You should give it ago," she boasted. She seemed so proud of her wrong doing.

"Number one, with who should I cheat on? I don't love anyone more than Edward. Number two, when or if Jasper finds out, what are you going to do to make it up to him?"

"If you haven't realised yet, I have immortality, forever to make it up to him. It isn't that hard Isabella!" she mentioned.

"Ugh! Alice, its Bella! Not Izzy, not Isabella, not anything else. Please!" I reminded her.

"Oh, and to your second question... What about the dog?" she remarked, scowling when she said "dog".

"Jacob? Why him? I suppose... He has a good chest. Forget I ever said that!" I admitted. Just then, Jasper strolled through the door. Alice winked at me and ran towards Jasper, a light spring in her run, and wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him, and he kissed her back. This lasted over a minutes, so I coughed to attract attention.

"Oh, hey Izzy," Jasper grinned at me.

I squared my shoulders, inhaled at slowly and calmly said "Its Bella."

"Course it is. Anyways, I need to tell you something privately. Follow me if you don't mind," he said. As I walked away, turned to look at Alice, and I shrugged my shoulders. She shook her head, grinned and skipped off. I followed Jasper into the next room, and he shut the door, locked it and looked me straight in the eyes.
