For all my life I had been ostracized

First for penury, then for lupine form

Lifetime of solitude was assured

The only thing comforting was the storm

Then sudden acceptance, allowed in school

Sorted to a House for the brave at heart

Yet still a secret gnaws at me, the fool

To think no one would guess; my friends are smart.

Though I expected disgust and loathing

The Marauders thought my condition fun

Their pronouncement I found quite shocking

My friends are the greatest under the sun!

Now I have found true acceptance from all

I shall savor it before we must fall.
