Diana was not the type to fall. She was detached. She was unemotional. She was practical - logical even. She was an analyzer, an observer.
But then he came. Caine
She would have prepared for it. If he hadn't done it so surprisingly. He came in quietly and then 'BOOM!' - she suddenly became the most stupid girl in the room. She wasn't like that before. She had always known right from wrong. She knew right is right and wrong is wrong. But where Caine was concerned, there was no right and wrong. He just did things for the sake of doing them, to see what the outcome would be. She had a reliable heart back then. But now, it's different. When he gets close to her, she feels that it can beat faster than ever. She could have sworn that she didn't have a stupid smile before either. That stupid smile that seemed to be accompanied by his stupid smile. Stupid things she just can't get rid of. Sure, she would hide it the best that she could, but there was no denying that he made her happy when he was around.
And as far as she remembers, she was not fragile. He couldn't break her. But he did. She had let him.
Now she's realizing, she had become a pathetic creature struggling to remain sane, living without really living. A creature her logic didn't even dare imagining. Because love isn't logical. Love isn't sweet. Love is harsh to those not meant to have it. Love is the same as Death; sudden, unfair and cruel.
And now she wished she hadn't fallen in love.
