Hey Everyone! This is my first Fanfic, so please give me lots of constructive advice. Thanks! Hope you like!

It was a normal day in the Candy Kingdom. Marceline and Bonnibel were sitting under a cotton candy tree by the Lemonade Lake. Bonnie was laying on the soft grass, her head in Marceline's lap.

Both girls seemed to be in deep thought, staring into the horizon.

"Hey Marcy?" The younger princess said breaking the silence.

Marceline hummed, signaling for her to continue.

"Well, I know this may be very random and it's really none of my business but-"

"Just ask, Bonnie." She said to spare her girlfriend from her own useless rambling.

"Yes, well I noticed a flaw in your 'fries' dilemma with your father."

"Flaw? Wait, what?" that's not at all what the vampire had expected. Bonnie occasionally asked questions about Simon, never her actual blood father.

"I...it's just...I noticed something that didn't quite add up" Bubblegum faltered at Marceline's response, not knowing if it was okay to bring up the other girls dad.

Marcy hated that Bonnie thought she had to be careful of what to say, after all Marceline could take anything, but at the same time it was nice to have someone care about her feelings. She stroked her girlfriends hair sweetly. "And what may that be?"

"Why did you care so much about your fries? It's not like you could have eaten them. Fries aren't exactly red..."

"Oh, well I was just going to dip them in ketchup and suck the red from that."

"No. I took that into consideration, but concluded that that is not plausible. You wouldn't likely have indulged ketchup because it is tomato based, and tomatoes give you lucid dreams. It's illogical."

"Well, uh, yeah I guess" What was she supposed to say to that? She was impressed by how well Bubblegum knew her, but didn't know if she should tell her the real reason. It was stupid anyway...

"Marcy? Is there something more to this? I mean, you were reeaallly upset with your father."

Marceline just sighed and looked away.

"You can tell me", Bonnie whispered as if not to scare the older girl off.

"It's not a big deal...it's really dumb anyway..."

"Marceline, look at me." Bonnibel said in that firm, yet gentle voice that no one can deny.

Marceline faces her girlfriend and starts her explanation. "I can still eat. I've still got my tummy and stuff, solid foods just can't nourish me. But...but sometimes I like to pretend and eat them anyway. Back when I was half mortal, my Mom would take me out for Fries. I know it's stupid but-" She was silenced by soft bubblegum lips on her own.

After a few moments, Bonnie pulled away. "Thank you for sharing that with me. I know a perfect little diner that serves the best fries in the Kingdom. Let's go." She tried getting up, only to be pulled back down by Marcy.

The Queen gently pushed her girlfriend to the ground and rolled on top of her. "Actually, I'm in the mood for something a bit sweeter."
