It all started when I was born. That's really where the issue starts. I was born like this, I didn't ask for it. That's something someone has to know about me before they know anything else. It's not my fault I'm like this.

They really started to notice it when I was a toddler. The first time they brought me to a pool, I walked on water for twenty seconds. The next time they gave me a bath, I boiled it. When they took me to a doctor, they was only one explanation. My parents denyed it and stormed out of the office in a huff of anger. 'Not their little girl' they thought.

Science class, 7th grade. The teacher was teaching us about rocks and minirals. I, of course, was sitting in the back of the room, alone. I decided that I wanted a better look at the rocks he was talking about. I got that better look. Before everyone's eyes the rocks floated from the desk and appered in front of me. I lifted up my hand grabbed then between my fingers. One turned to dust, the other molded into a different shape.

Another time, some bullies were messing with me and my friend Jane, telling us that if we don't give them our wallets they're going to hurt us. I didn't stand for that. When I punched the first kid, he only got a little wet. When I punched the other, he got third degree burns.

I was kicked out of school after that. This is when people started to tell me that the reason I couldn't be with the other kids was becuase I was to differentWhat they didn't know is that I always kind of knew I was different from the other kids in school. I knew that they couldn't do what I could do.

I could stand on hot pavement and not feel anything, walk on water like it's a hard wood floor, make water drip from my skin, make the ground and the dirt follow me as I walked home from school and only once or twice could I conduct a fire from my fingers. I once caused a fire while I was sleeping. I was having a nightmare that knight. It wasn't until I was 12 that I started figuring out my other ability.

It only became true to my parents when I was visited. He rolled into my house with a very small smile on his face. He asked to speak to me after he was done talking with my parents. My mother had tears in her eyes and my fathers face was red.

I thought they were going to send me to jail or military camp or something but when I came down stairs it all became pretty clear to me.

"Ashley, I'm different. Just like you." The man said, giving a very small but kind smile. I sat there in disbelieve. "You are a very special, powerful girl which is why I want to ask if you would come to my school and learn how to use your powers so that they don't use you."

I still didn't believe him. 'This guy is a fake.' I thought to myself.

"You think I'm a fake?" He asked. I was a little surpised at first but then relaxed in my chair. He gave me another small smile before suddenly I could hear him inside of my head.

'Do you think I'm a fake now?'

I sat back in my chair a little bit, scared of what or who I had just met.

"Don't be scared, Ashley. I'm just like you." his cool smile once again spread across his face. This man was old, bald and a little intimidating. "Ashley, At the Xaiver School we can help you with your powers."

I was spetical at first but for some emate reason, I believed him. The next week, I was out of my house and headed for a new school.

Needless to say, I was terrified.
