Under the stars
Sitting on the bench,
He stared up at the sky
Tainted a rose lean hue,
And gave a little sigh.
He felt something brush his cheek,
Something wet and cold.
Something crystalline
Like gems set out to be sold.
He glanced up at the heavens
And saw many crystal diamonds.
He felt his heart unfurl
With a myriad of emotions.
Those beautiful little jewels
Those pretty little snowflakes
Reminded him so much of her,
Of the warmth she always made.
No matter how coldly the others treated her,
No matter of harsh they always were,
She'd always have her smile in place
A smile so warm and sure.
Then from a distance, far away
He heard her call his name
In a dulcet tone of voice,
And a smile which remained the same.
He was sent spiraling back to reality,
And placed a hand upon the bench.
He turned around to face her
Longing to embrace her in his grasp.
She plopped down next to him,
Gazing up towards the ceiling.
The firmament, now ebony black,
Was brimming with stars glimmering.
Beside him, he felt her smile
And a blush rose to his cheeks.
His heart fluttered like a baby bird
And gave a little leap.
Once more he turned to face her,
Longing to drown in the endless sapphire
Of the large, alluring orbs
Which burned with fiery desire.
He tilted his head back
Only to be met with her soft lips.
He blinked in rapid succession
His heart doing several flips.
Time seemed to halt momentarily
As he leaned in towards her
Savoring the sweetness
He felt when she was near.
After several moments,
After several sunlit days,
They broke apart and smiled,
Their faces lit by the purest rays.
She bypassed red and flushed maroon
And shyly took his hand
Before beaming brightly back at him,
Her heart soaring, refusing to land.
His scarlet eyes captivated her
As he encased her hand snugly in his
Lacing his fingers with hers,
Feeling an unmistakable surge of bliss.
Under the starry midnight sky,
Both gazed up at the stars.
Although it was unspoken,
It was clear of its existence, even from afar.
He was her pillar of support,
Always standing by her.
He was her friend and father,
Her only confident.
She was his source of warmth,
The one who brightened up his day.
She was the light which guided him,
Through the darkness at bay.
One lived solely for the other
They cannot live without one another.
He was the moon,
She was the Sun,
This is the story about the love
Between a demon and a nun.
