A/N: Hetalia: Axis Powers, The Avengers, Captain America and their characters do not belong to me. But the two OC children do (Allen and his brother). I was given the prompt "Superheroes and Villains" by a friend of mine and this is the result. I hope you all enjoy it. Alice is Nyo!England.
"THIS WILL BE AWESOME!", Alfred cheered loudly making his wife, Alice, regret her decision. After weeks of constant begging, she had finally agreed to go see The Avengers. Alfred tried to convince her to go to the midnight showing, but since he wanted to take their sons to see the movie too, so going to a late showing was out of the question.
They were currently on their way to the movie theater and Alice seemed to be the only one in the car who was not extremely excited.
"Are you sure it's okay to take the boys to see this film? Isn't a bit violent for their age?"
"Nah… It's all good. I was totally into The Avengers when I was a kid."
"Yes, but this film will be much more violent than a comic book.", she replied. Alfred stayed silent as he drove down the road, trying to find a way to disprove his wife. She watched his face light up as he apparently came up with a 'brilliant' comeback.
"Have you ever read them?", he asked with a grin on his face.
"No, of course not."
"Then you don't know if the movie will be worse than the comics.", he replied triumphantly. Alfred was not going to let anything come in the way of his chance to see the movie. "And besides, they've seen Captain America already."
"Yes and I must remind you that it gave poor Allen nightmares."
"Okay, you know that Red Skull is fucking scary."
"Alfred! Language!", she hissed. Alfred frowned and mumbled something that sounded a lot like 'you-do-it-all-the-time'.
"Okay, if it scares them, I promise to care of it.", he declared after some thought.
"You'll get up in the middle of the night and calm them back down? Sing them songs until the fall asleep?", she asked.
"You sing them to sleep?"
"Do you promise?"
"Yeah, yeah, I promise. Hero's word.", he said with a determined look upon his face.
"Do you hear that boys? If the movie scares you, you are allowed to bother Daddy."
"Okay!", said the two little boys in the back seat. Alfred's face fell again, but at least he'll get to see the movie.
~~~~~ Later that night ~~~~
"Daddy, I'm scared….."
