Chapter 1:
They filed into the Great Hall, all wondering the same thing…who is the new headmaster?
Since the death of Albus Dumbledore it was the question on everybody's lips who was strong enough? Who could handle it?
Everyone sat down and awaited the news. The news that could change everything.
Mongonagall cleared her throat "Good morning students, as you all know since the death of beloved Professor Dumbledore Hogwarts needs a new headmaster, the position is going to professor Snape"
The room was filled with silence, an awkward tense silence only broken by the cheers from slytherin table.
"Not Snape!" Whispered Hermione
"Oh god" was all Ron Weasley said
Later that night a group was forming in the Gryffindor common room all with the same point.
"Not that slime bag!" shouted Ron Weasley
"We might as well turn our selves over to the dark side!" Yelled Seamus
"Things are going to be very different!" said Hermione
The next day changes were already occurring lessons were based more on darker side not good magic and no one was near pleased.
"His changing this place!" Hermione said angrily
"Why did it have to be him!" said Ron
"I don't think Hogwarts is going to be the same!" Said Harry
The general feel in the air was utter depression.
That night the three were up late discussing the day's events
"The cold sucks, the classes suck, everything sucks" said Ron
But although Ron and Hermione were deeply saddened by the death of Dumbledore
The most affected was Harry, Albus Dumbledore was his mentor his friend and now to be in a school ruled by the man who killed him.
The next day Harry was down by the lake throwing stones into the water when Hermione and Hagrid came down muttering something Harry turned towards them something was wrong.
"Hello Harry" said Hermione
"Harry" said Hagrid
"What?" asked Harry?
"Well should you tell him or should I?" asked Hermione to Hagrid
"You" said Hagrid
Hermione sighed.
"Well Harry um there is some bad news you should know." She said awkwardly
Harry stopped what he was doing and stood there
"Is it good or bad?" He asked
"Well. Harry there isn't a good way to tell you this but...Hagrid" She paused
"What? Hagrid's what?" He asked anxiously
"Leaving" Said Hagrid bluntly
"Im sorry Harry but with snape in power now im not allowed to remain here" Said Hagrid
"What! That's seriously unfair! He can't do that!" Yelled Harry
"He can" Said Hermione
"Now that he is headmaster he doesn't want hagrid around after Aragog"Said Hermione
"You've got to be joking" Said Harry
"No she isn't, He's getting rid of me, Thinks Dumbledore was too soft" Said Hagrid
Harry's blood boiled. It was bad enough he killed Dumbledore now he was getting Hagrid out too.
