A/N - So this was just something I found lying around and thought it would be interesting to put up for you all to read. I wanted to say that in this fic I refer to (M) Robin as Reflet, I just didn't want anyone to be confused while reading. Anyway reviews are always welcome and constructive criticism is too! ;D
Her slim hand grasps the object tightly to her chest. With shaky breaths and her eyes being locked on the phone, she sits in silence save for her foot tapping.
"Please call," she mutters, heart still racing from the stress. "Please.. we need this." Her sharp blue eyes were practically drilling holes into the phone and its small screen. Her foot tapping impatiently, and she found herself reverting back to the habit were she chews relentlessly on her lavender colored nails.
*Bring*
The sound pierces through the silence surrounding her and she whips to her feet, while quickly swiping up the phone and answering.
"Hello?" She almost sobs out the words, but manages to keep it to a minor cry.
"Whoa, calm down there."
"Reflet?" She queries and he states yes. She could almost see him bobbing his head up and down with the words. His wonderful big brown orbs of eyes, his thin lined mouth with the cutest smile gracing it almost all the time; and then his sharp white hair; It made the newly fallen snow seem dull in comparison. "How have you been?" She asks eager for more about what had happened with him since the last time they had spoken.
"Well," he drawled the word and she found curiosity nipping at her.
"Well what? Did they give you the job?" Silence fell over the two and she wants to break it as soon as it starts, though she doesn't. He speaks up again.
"Yes." The word seems to just spill out of his mouth, and she could tell he was wearing that same smile she had fallen in love with him for.
A sigh of relief passes over the girl and she let it show in her speech.
"Oh, thank goodness."
"Yeah, I can't wait to come back." He's still barring the smirk. "And when I'm there, I swear the first thing I'm gonna do is kiss you with a hug." He laughs and she joins in immediately.
"You'd better." She sighs contently. "So when will you be back?" She queries and he pauses, as if thinking.
"It should beeee, this tuesday," he states and she grins with the desire to see her husband once again after the long week away from the other.
"Good, I've missed you, Reflet."
"And I've missed you, Zelda."
