A/N-Happy Easter, Addict! A/U where Irina's alive and they...you'll find out. I know you like reading about WWII, and I've put in a few cross-references because..again, you'll find out. I'm obsessed with it too, so I decided to write about something...okay, so I'm tired of saying you'll find out.

WWIII! Just hope it never ACTUALLY happens...

"What-just-"

For the first time in the eleven years she'd lived on this deprived, peasant-friendly planet, Natalie Kabra understood, and shocking herself, sympathized, with her underconfident jade-eyed cousin. She had always considered Amy's stutter a mark of uncompetitiveness, but today, it seemed like she'd suddenly become...her.

"Where am I?"

"Russia."

Irina Spasky's rough, unempathetic voice snapped Natalie out of her daze. She couldn't afford to look helpless in front of her mother's servant.

"Why, pray, am I in Russia?"

"You're not alone."

"Well, obviously, Spasky. You are right here with me."

"No. I mean..." Irina sucked in her cheeks. "You are a slave."

"Slave?"

And that's when she looked down at her clothes. She didn't look anything like herself. Soot covered her jet black hair and her dress looked like it had been adopted from the classic 'The Princess and the Pauper' (the pauper's, of course).
She told herself not to cry. She was Natalie Kabra.

"Natalie, there are other slaves here with you. You somehow...zapped us into the future. WWIII. Every country is involved. And weirdly enough, this one has nothing to do with the others. The World Wars are supposed to be interconnected, but this one is...wrong."

"Why am I a slave?" More pressing matters needed to be addressed. Natalie didn't have Gucci, and all Irina could talk about was the War?

"Well, they found out you were British. You were out cold for an hour, and you talked in your sleep. They noticed your British accent."

"But Russia and Britain are allies..." Natalie knew that because the dominant part of the Allies were all Lucians. Britain, France, Russia, USA (though USA had a few Ekat double agents who joined the Lucians)...the others were all either brainwashed into joining them or joined because they were under the British rule. The Axis hated them for that.

"We split up. The Russian branch of the Lucians and the English branch made up the most of the Lucian branch, and everyone else had to join one of them. The Russians rebelled. Well, apparently, Nataliya-Nataliya headed the rebellion and died, and then they went to war over who would get what...parts. And then, for once, the other branches got into it. I think they're willing to sacrifice a few soldiers to split up the branch fully so we weaken, but that's a lame strategy. By the time the war is over. one side will be much more powerful than the other side and all the branches put together."

"So...if you're Russian, why are you with me?"

Irina had always seemed like the most rebellious Lucian to Natalie. She seemed to hate Isabel, and Natalie hadn't exactly gone out of the way to be angelic towards her.

"I..." Irina looked away. "No reason."

Irina was a wonderful liar. But this time, Natalie knew she was lying. She decided not to press the matter-if Irina was helping her, Natalie could backstab her later.

And that's when a Russian man entered the room and grimaced.

"You will be a slave to Ian Kabra."

Ian sat on his couch. His plan needed to work. Natalie had to be his slave...so she didn't have to be a slave.

His sister could be so idiotic sometimes. Ian loved her, the way she drooled at night but never admitted it, how she insisted on Prada wear, how she lost to him at chess every time they played, how she talked in her sleep.

But that one had got her busted.

When Natalie had zapped a bunch of Cahills to 2045 (exactly 100 years after WWII), she had collapsed from the effort. And she had zapped them in the middle of a war zone.

The Russians had carried them away, and separated them. Ian quickly found out that the Janus and Ekats were with the Russians and the Tomas and the Iustrahebaturs (Latin for 'The Dragged In Ones') (A/N-I. Do. Not. Speak. Latin. Okay? So if my translation, which I got from Google translate, the most inaccurate website ever, is wrong, don't sue me.). The Iustrahebaturs were the non-Cahills. Even they had been let in on the secret by Ian's direct relatives-just for the sake of more manpower. France was with Britain and USA was with Russia.

But Ian hadn't cursed. He hadn't slapped the Russian who had brought him in for interrogation in the face and demanded to see Natalie. Instead. like a true Lucian, he'd played the situation to his advantage.

This was a Lucian war. He knew his parents had Indian relatives. And Indians were Janus, who were with Russia.

So Ian had faked an accent (Accent class was the first class a Lucian attended-except for IQ-touching, EQ-touching and code cracking)and lied that he was Indian.

Now, he couldn't stop thinking. The Russians were winning, and all the Brits they had captured, to Ian's horror, were becoming slaves to the newcomers to the Russian army camp to show hospitality and all. Ian's brethren had a much worse fate than he did.

A part of Ian also felt guilty. When he was young, he used to hope for a WWIII, so he could manipulate the people and use them as pawns in the hardest, greatest and most unreliable chess game ever. He'd be famous. It would be fun-as long as he didn't have to do the actual fighting.

Now he regretted it.

He couldn't stop wondering.

He couldn't stop wondering how Natalie had zapped them into the future.

He couldn't stop wondering why the rebellion had happened.

He couldn't stop wondering how they'd ended up here-and how to win.

And he was about to find out...

...in the next chapter.

A/N-OK, that sucked. But cliffhangers are essential.

The first chapter may have sucked, but it's gonna get better. Intros are sooooo boring. And I'm struggling to keep this under 1,500 words-otherwise everyone will just go to sleep.

The next chap's gonna be in Amy, Sinead, Ian and Natalie-and probably Irina's and Isabel's POV. But please don't lose heart-I know this chap sucked, I had to write it to get you introduced.

PLEASE. DON'T. LOSE. HEART.

See ya, peeps!
