Mistletoe

Lieutenant Alicia Washington sat at the Commander Nathaniel Taylor's desk at Control Center. She was busy finishing up some paper work and making the charts for who does what on the schedule. She didn't see Taylor come up behind her with a branch, Terra Nova's mistletoe. She didn't see him go and put the branch above her head and she turned around shocked. There he was smiling down at her from where he stood.
"Well what do we have here?" I asked looking up at the branch and then at him. "Is there something you want?"
He smiled his little smile "Looks like you know what I want." He pulled back just a little so she could stand up.
"I don't know what you want Sir." I asked jokingly, and walked just the small bit closer to him.
He want me to kiss him…this is one of those thing couples do I thought. I could feel that warm happiness in my heart. We have never put a title to us in public…why? Taylor had tried to talk to Lucas about moving on from his mother but it ended with Taylor feeling that he had ruined everything for his son. I was angry…so damn angry. After his talk with Lucas he never looking at me unless it was something to do with the colony. It ended the night of the second week. He came to my house and just looked at me. "I'm sorry….even I know that I've been a disgrace this last two weeks. I let him in and he had told me he never even got to tell Lucas about us. So we talked and it ended with us staying as we where….a secret. But at that moment nothing mattered as much as him holding me and just talking to me. The feeling of him arms around me as we just sat on the couch was all that I would ever need.
"Alicia?" Taylor asked me and I came back from my moment to see that I was looking at him. My cheeks started to burn and I just smiled a little. He was here with me. He smiled at me and came close to me. Not touching but just enough that I could feel the heat coming off of him. He put the branch down on his deck and surrounded me in his arms. Like a reflex I placed my arms around his neck.
His lips came down to mine soft and warm. It was a sweet and over to quick. I looked into his eyes and he smile down at me. I gave him a small smile before he went bent down and placed his lips more firmly to mine. I closed my eyes and just enjoyed, moving my lips against his and we stayed like this until we ran out of breath. We pulled away breathing heavy.
"Lieutenant…" he said looking into my eyes. "I love you Alicia."
I may have been a solider but like any women I felt myself smile a big goofy smile. Peace over took me. "Well Commander Taylor….I love you too." I said and he bent down and kissed me once more.
"Are we still on for tonight?" Nathaniel asked me and I gave a small smile.
"Yes Sir we are." I said hearing the foot steps.
We pulled apart barely fast enough not to be seen by Jim.
"Taylor that group is coming back through the gates." He said as he turned to leave. Taylor turned and kissed me once more quickly before he left.
I sat back down still feeling him around me and smiled…Taylor hasn't stayed at his own house the last few weeks. But no one has caught us yet. I smiled down at the paperwork.
I couldn't wait for tonight. I picked up the branch and placed it under the desk.
