Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the OlympiansPercy's POV:
It was just another day in Yancy Academy. Another boring day of studying and going to classes. Grover's nervous bleat that sounded like a goat startled me out of my thoughts.
"P-Pe-Per-Perc-Percy!" Grover bleated.
I never knew Grover could stutter that much. He must be really nervous about something.
"Hey G-man," I greeted him back.
That was usually when I got up from my chair and followed him to class. Since my textbooks were in my locker, I had to get to my locker first, so I told Grover to go ahead. I didn't know what was happening between me and him, because it feels as if he has to protect me. So that's why seconds later, me and him were walking down the hallway to go to my locker for my textbooks.
Grover kept on looking around nervously. I don't think I have met anyone more paranoid than him. His nervous bleat alerted me. A revved up engine came speeding around the corner. I'd recognize that sound anywhere. It was a Harley. Don't ask me how I know. Living in a bad house has its peak sometimes. But what was a Harley doing in the academy?
Me and Grover had reached my locker when I saw the Harley coming towards us. My friend's nervous bleat seemed to slow down as I quickly jumped out of the way, taking Grover with me as I moved to the side.
"Whoa!" I exclaimed, as I nearly got my head impaled.
And that was when time seemed to return back to normal. At full speed, the Harley with the anonymous person crashed into my locker. Textbooks that I needed for class were crushed under the weight of the wheels that were now sticking high up in the air. Instead of being mad that it was destroyed, the person on the Harley had actually done me a favor. I was planning on burning those textbooks at the end of the school year anyway.
On the other hand, some things that I did need which I wasn't planning on destroying were also destroyed. And that was when I started getting angry. Photos of me and my mom were now ripped to pieces like that paper I saw after it had gone through a shredding machine. I didn't know that a Harley's wheels could do that much damage but apparently it could. A wave roared in my ears and I felt a painful tug in my gut. The water fountain nearest to us must have had a pipe leak at the same time because just then, water exploded like a garden hose set on maximum power.
It must have been a coincidence. But something told me that it wasn't. The unknown person finally turned around, but I think I had a feeling that I already knew that person. When she removed the helmet, it only confirmed my thoughts: Mrs. Dodds.
I should have known all along when she first came to our class. She looked mean enough to drive a Harley straight through your locker. I just never knew it would happen literally.
Mrs. Dodds's evil eyes pierced me down, and I shivered. It was inhuman to have eyes like those.
"I don't think she's human," I nudged Grover to ask him that question.
Grover looked me straight in the eye seriously and said: "You're absolutely right."
A/N: I hope you enjoyed that. And I used some quotes from the book if anyone's wondering. Thank you for reading, and I appreciate all the reviews and favorites!
