Dean could hear Roman coughing all the way from upstairs. It sounded like he was coughing up his lungs. Dean headed upstairs and let himself into Roman's room. "Yo dude, you okay? You look like shit, Rome."
"Not really. I think I might have strep throat. Fuck this hurts." He said, his voice only able to get slightly above a whisper. "Man, I was supposed to take Raylee out to do stuff today. Ughhh." He started coughing again. "Fuck, she's gonna be so disappointed. Man, it's so fucking cold in here. Brrrrr…"
Dean went into the bathroom and got the thermometer back to Roman and took his temperature. It was 102 degrees. "Wow Ro, you are burning up. You need to stay in bed today. Don't worry about Raylee. Me and Seth will take her somewhere. You just get your rest. We will be back at the end of the day." Roman nodded and then started coughing again.
Dean headed to Seth's room and woke him up. "Seth, Roman is sick. So we are in charge of Raylee today. Where should we take her?""How about the amusement park?" Seth suggested, yawning."That sounds like a good idea. I'm gonna go wake her up and get her ready."
Dean walked to Raylee's room and woke her up. "Raylee, sweetie, it's time to get up." Raylee rubbed her eyes and said, "Where's daddy?"
"Your daddy is sick. He thought you were gonna be disappointed when you found out that he couldn't take you out today, so Uncle Colby and I offered to take you out instead. So let's get ready, shall we? What do you want to wear today?"Raylee pointed to a Mickey Mouse shirt and a skirt with leggings. "That! I wanna wear that!"
"Okay, let's get you dressed then." Dean said as he helped her get dressed. "Where are we going, Uncle Jon?" She asked.
"That's gonna be a surprise, sweetie." Dean and Raylee walked over to Seth's room and knocked. "Bro, you ready?"
"Yup. Let's go." They drove to the nearest amusement park and bought a wristband for each of them so they could ride the rides all day. "Well, Raylee? Which ride do you want to go on first?" Seth asked her.
"Ummm…the Ferris Wheel!"
"You aren't scared?"
"Nope." So they went and got on the Ferris Wheel with Raylee. Once they reached the top, Raylee discovered that she was scared. She whimpered. "Oh sweetie it will be okay." Dean and Seth said as they hugged her tight for the rest of the ride. Next, they went and played a few games. Dean had won her a giant stuffed panda bear and Seth had won her a goldfish. Then they took turns riding rides with her for the rest of the day. Before they left, they bought a tiny tank for the goldfish. "Uncle Jon and Uncle Colby?"
"Yes, sweetie?"
"Thanks for doing this for me. I love you." She said as she gave Dean and Seth a big hug.
They made their way back home, where Raylee ran up the stairs to show Roman her prizes. "Daddy Daddy look what Uncle Jon and Uncle Colby won me!" She showed him the fish and the giant panda. Then she yawned. Roman tried to say in a somewhat loud voice, "Looks like someone is ready for bed. Haha." He started coughing. "Jon, Colby, thanks a lot for doing this for her and me. I owe you big time."
"You don't owe us anything, Joe. Now you and Raylee need to get your rest. Hopefully you will feel somewhat better tomorrow."
Roman went back to sleep while Seth and Dean tucked Raylee into her bed. "We love you, Raylee.""I love you too, Uncle Jon and Uncle Colby." She said as she drifted off to sleep. Dean and Seth also went to their separate bedrooms, exhausted from the long day they had.
