Even opened his eyes, in the small apartment like room he had in the castle he could have sworn he heard a whimper from the next bedroom where Ienzo was. He was the guardian of the sixth apprentice so they shared a room. Now Even would never admit this to anyone but Ienzo was like a son to him. When Ienzo would go missing Even would worry, when Ienzo was happy so was Even, when Ienzo was sad Even tried to make him feel better, and when Ienzo was hurt by someone Even was extremely mad at said person. Even was about to close his eyes again deciding that his ears were playing tricks on him when he heard another, louder, whimper. He got out of his bed and was walking to his door when he heard Ienzo scream, Even ran from his room and into Ienzo's.
"IENZO!" Even shouted turning on the light.
Poor little Ienzo, he was sitting up in bed sobbing his eyes out. He had a nightmare that Even was dead and he was alone in the world. Even walked over and sat next to Ienzo on his bed putting his arms around the small, sobbing child.
"Hush now Ienzo. It over. It's going to be alright." Even whispered trying to calm him.
"Even, don't go please! I had a nightmare that you left and then you died and I was all alone! Don't go please." The poor child was obviously scared so Even decided to sing the lullaby his mother sang to him when he was sad.

As Even sang Ienzo calmed down and his crying stopped.
"Do you promise you'll always be there?" Ienzo asked looking up at Even from when he buried his head into Evens' chest.
"Yes. Just remember that you'll be in my heart forever." Even said softly hugging Ienzo close.
"Alright. I love you….Dad."
"Love you too….Son."
Ienzo continued to hug Even until he fell back asleep so Even tucked Ienzo back in and returned to his room to sleep.
As Even, Ienzo was always in his heart and as Vexen, Zexion was always in his heart. He was there always and from that day on now and forever more they were always in each other's hearts.
