Disclaimer: OK, I realized that I needed to post something before the people who have read my stories (that were deleted) proclaim me dead an start taking my thing from my coffin. Ok, I am odd. Tatiana balanced on the edge of the lake, staring at the little golden fishes as they darted around beneath the amber tipped surface. Tatiana's long black and silver hair blew gently in he wind, and she could feel the perfect breeze on her legs. Her school uniform dark green pleated skirt, milky white blouse, and dark green cardigan kept her from shivering, along with her green Converse high tops and knee length socks.
It was a perfect day. She was in Japan on a foreign exchange student program. She truly felt like he luckiest girl in the world. Nothing could go wrong.
Suddenly Tatiana felt someone get thrown into her, pushing both Tatiana and the stranger into the lake. The golden fishes scattered wildly confused that heir peace had been shattered by these large beings.
"AGH! WHAT THE HELL?!?!" Tatiana yelled as she sputtered and spit out lake water. She rubbed the water out of her eyes and looked around with vibrant green eyes. There was no one there.
Tatiana automatically assumed the person had pushed her and ran, and she pulled herself out of the now murky water, her clothes as damp as her mood. She walked ,steaming, to the house she was staying at. All the while, fingering the small metal pendant that hung about her neck. It was a thumb sized piece of sword metal shaped like the Japanese character for dog, and had a small pink jewel shard embedded in it. It had been handed down to her from her great-great-great grandmother, Kagome. The family legend was that Kagome disappeared after a fight with her American husband of 10 years, and never returned, leaving behind two daughters. No one knew what happened to her, only hat she told her eldest daughter, Kaede, to make sure that she gave he necklace to her eldest daughter, and for her eldest daughter to give the necklace to her eldest daughter, an so forth. Kaede didn' look like her father at all. She had a mane of silver hair and a birth defect that caused her much humiliation. Dog ears. It was rumored that Kaede's father was in fact, a half demon. But Tatiana knew that this was all silly nonsense. She knew she was closely related to Kaede, for she had strips of the silver color in her hair, and had amazing senses.
