Disclaimer: I do not own Card captor Sakura.
Notes: A spur of the moment, 593 word piece of fiction I just quickly threw down after listening to the song "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls. It's not much, but it's a real unblock-er for me. Thanks for being wonderful and reading, review if you wish.

A Sample of Love.
By Emerald-eyes
The golden blonde of her hair sparkled in the moonlight in a way he could have never thought possible. He had never known what love was till he looked directly in her bright emerald eyes. But this was different; he didn't just look . . . he saw. He saw something unimaginable, he saw beneath the positive exterior, to a small slice of heaven he knew he'd never be able to sample. All he had was this one moment, this tiny part of eternity to tell her he loved her, that he'd walk through hell, whistling for her.
She was wrapped in his arms, and they swirled around a dance floor, her long black dress grazing the floor. A dance for two lovers the people around them whispered. They swirled helplessly, lost in the endless paradise that was each others eyes. He spun her out, before bringing her back in, hooking his arms tightly around her, as she pressed her back to him. He closed his eyes and leaned on her hair before letting the words spiral from his lips, "Sakura, I-"
But he was stopped as she smashed her lips against his own, somehow in the few seconds, she managed to worm her way round, close enough to get to his lips. It was a demanding, but questioning kiss, filled with soul searching and the promise that she'd spent many a night crying over him and this. He was shocked, there was more of her in that kiss then he'd ever seen and all he could do was kiss her back.
There were explosions and breaking glass sounding somewhere far away, accompanied by a scream. They'd get to that later; all he needed to do now was to prove to her that he loved her. Breaking apart for air, she looked questioningly at his chocolate eyes. He nodded once, before diving back into the pool of love that was Sakura. The two broke apart once more, the scream was louder and this time there were multiples, echoing the pure terror.
They saw it at once, a girl of some sort, floating above the balcony outside. Pandemonium had struck and the people around them were helpless before the girl, left open, breathing and tasting their own fear, choking on it. To each and every one of the non-magic people in the room, it was their greatest fear come alive, weather it be spiders to gutted open half-dead corpses of their family members, with themselves holding the knife.
Sakura and Syaoran saw it as a girl, floating, surrounded by an inky black light, terrifying and beautiful. They launched into an attack, twisting in some beautiful dance before they gave way to powerful waves of magic. They destroyed the girl, empowered by their own love and in some dark reaches of their mind, lust for one another. People around them backed away as they breathed heavily, before diving into each others arms again, Sakura sobbing, Syaoran holding on with fierce protectiveness.
Someone started to clap somewhere, and it didn't take long until the entire room was filled with cheers and applause. But the two didn't dare leave each others arms; it was all they had, protecting them from the world. It was their own protective sphere, shining, covered and embraced with the two's now intertwining souls. A new baby was born somewhere, a person who had seen all they were going to see in that lifetime died somewhere else.
But this didn't matter, because all they needed was each other, and they had the world.
