Disclaimer: I do not own. I'm sorry.
Author's Note: While I don't claim to know much about Vulcan mind-powers, the loss of an entire planet and most of its inhabitants would be incredibly painful. I imagine that this would render them completely helpless and I would also like to imagine that the other Federation planets would send their best and brightest to help the surviving Vulcans get through the acute phase of their pain and to get them back on their feet. Massage Therapy as a form of healthcare, I imagine would be good for them if good thoughts were transferred – a mind over matter experience, I think. Also while what other planets and species may think are good things, the Vulcans may not agree but I don't think that's important, it's the pleasure experienced by the thinker that matters. (I'm also assuming that everyone else is psi-null besides Vulcans, sort of cheating for emotional transference, I know.)
Summary: It'll get better Ambassador, you'll see.
A large, simple room, one of many hastily built to keep out the new, brighter sun and the new, energetic winds was divided by thin curtains. Beds were at waist high, bodies still and draped with the softest linens possible. The stillness was as such it could almost be tasted- the minds were adrift and not hurting and the winds themselves dared not to even play amount the pleasant chimes from Orion.
Above and around the hurting, lost Vulcans, knees are bending. Hips and feet are twisting, shifting the weight. Fingers mould, palms sculpt and the forearms smooth away. The eyes flicker: always watching, reassessing. The thoughts are soft: wherehurt-fixfixfix-rest-peace-sorrrysosorry-peace-betteryesno?
The hurts are dulled, the Vulcans begin to sort through the pieces but it does not last –
He blindly reaches for her hand, trembling.
The woman willingly offers her other hand and steps into his view thinking loudly, oh so loudly of good and pleasant things - a warm bed, hot fudge sundaes, balloons, laughter, afterglow, chasing fireflies –
"It'll get better Ambassador, you'll see."
-and hope.
