A Face

You look at me

But you don't see me.

I am more than a face

In this crowed place.

Or a girl with a crazy mind

Who hasn't lied.

You don't see past the conflicts

Or the arguments

Behind that invisible exterior.

You don't see past the quiet voice

Or the ever-present scars.

You don't see the reason,

You don't look for the rhyme.

Of the messed-up little girl

Trying to grow-up

To move past forward in time.

Trying to evade the jeers,

And escape her fears.

Okay, I've been an author on fanfiction for a few weeks now and I've gotten a few hits on my in-progress Knives and PEns but I haven't gotten any comments on any of my work. So for the people who actually enjoy, or not, my work I'm asking you to please leave a few comments, to see if there is any way that I can improve or change anything. I've written a few poems and still no comments. So PLEASE be kind and leave something, and it doesn't even have to be nice (but I would appreciate it if it was). :)
