Under The Influence...
Jimmy's POV
I was under the influence of alcohol last night. When I woke up, my head ached pretty badly. The Beachhouse smelled of alcohol, along with my breath. I groggily got off the crude bed and stumbled on my feet. My sight was slightly clouded, yet I could make out the scene here in front of my eyes. Tad, Parker, and Derby were on the ground, sleeping. I could smell the strong scent of alcohol, it was in the air. The guys also smelled of it. I then stumbled through the door, the smell of the air then gotten me back to my senses. The beach look beautiful this Summer morning. The smell of the sand and the sound of the waves crashing gotten a slight smile to my face. I was glad that I was alive. I then felt a hand on my left shoulder. "Morning Jimmy, how is it this lovely morning." The British accent quickly gave away that it was Tad. His breath vaguely smelled of Whiskey." I'm fine Tad, and mind getting your hand off my shoulder!" I yelled. I then grabbed Tad's hand and threw it off me. "Sorry mate, I couldn't help it." He said to me. "Are you alright, I could give you a ride back home, along with your friends." I asked him. "Yeah, I'll ask Derby, once he wakes up." Tad replied. "OK then, now how aobut you do something, like play Future Street Race 3D or look at the beach. How aobut you even take a walk." I said to him. "Yeah your right," Tad added. "I should take a walk, get these muscles moving." He then walked down the steps and walked on the wet sand, leaving his footprints on there. I couldn't believe it. On that July 08th, 2008 night. I was under the influence. Thank god Pete wasn't here. Nor Gary. 'fact, I feel happy for everybody else I know that this didn't happen to them. I know that I'm gonna look back at this for a long time.
All it takes is one drink to be under the influence. Here's something that I say. "Think before you drink." This story is for Alcohol Awareness Month. Many people have been plauged by alcoholism. Some lived to tell the story, while others died. I just wanted the many people in the world to be safe, as I hold a word called sympathy.
