Shikamaru stopped and stared, completely stumped. It was a single, unified piece. There was no way to undo it. No way to remove it. It stood as a permanent barrier between him and his target. Well, that was it then.
He couldn't help but think it was probably a sign. What was he thinking anyway? No, he hadn't been thinking, that was the problem. This was not a good idea, it would change everything.
Ino noticed Shikamaru's pause.
"It unhooks in the front," she said with a soft smile as she turned to face him, undoing her bra's clasp herself.
