A little present for a priceless love

Yuya's POV

The hottest day in my life was today. I was sweating and we had been walking since morning, yet there was still no sign of a village. The cart was as heavy as usual and what was worse, I had to pull it alone.

I turned around and glared angrily at the annoying man who had been sitting on the cart since yesterday. There was a steep hill ahead and it would be terrible if I have to pull him along the way to the top.

"Kyo, you are overloading the cart's weight…"

Before I could finish my sentence, he cut of and said, "Shut up, freak. Just pull the cart or I'll kill you".

I was annoyed by the answer and stopped myself from pulling the cart. This can't go on or I would die before I could become very rich. I imagined tonnes of money piling everywhere around me.

"Why are you stopping? Are you lazy or what?" he insulted me. I wrapped my arms around my body and looked at him.

"Kyo, what's my feedback of doing this?" I asked. He looked at me and smirked.

"What's wrong with you? Suddenly talking about money yet you know I have nothing to give away", he answered.

Feeling a bit upset, I turned my back and made my way to a nearby forest. I wanted to go a little bit far to fill my emptiness. I didn't know what it is; I lost my self confidence. It was all out of blue. Why did I get upset when he answered that way?

"Oi, where are you going? Pull the cart or we won't reach the town in time," he shouted from a distance.

"Pull it yourself," I marched away crossly.

I didn't know where to go. I didn't know how far I had walked. My feet just moved instinctively. My heart was pounding hard; it was in a sturdy pain.

The answer he gave was like a sharp blade of Tenro, stabbing my heart till it bleed and the crystal clear blood leaked from my eyes uncontrollably. The ocean was crashing the stone of hope. I collapsed on my knees and gripped the green grasses.

"Hey, how long do you wish to walk insanely like this? What the hell is wrong with you?" said a stranger that I knew well.

I hold up my head. Red eyes; those eyes had gave me a warmth feeling. A desire to stare at those flaming eyes closely emerged within me, too strong that I could only just stand it a little longer.

Kyo kneeled in front of me. He picked a beautiful spring flower and put it on my lap. "This is your wage", he said with a smile. The nice aroma of spring was floating in the air, clearing the unusual heat of my dilemma.

I sat on the wooden plank, admiring the beautiful little present and the cart started to move, pulled by a stranger that I loved.
