His sword gleamed in the rising sun. He thrust his blade up into the air and then brought it slowly down before him. His reflection gazed thoughtfully back at him. Lion-O's breath caught in his throat as his image became his father's.
Suddenly solemn, he lowered his head and prayed. {Father, please make me worthy. Help me to be a son worthy of you.}
His eyes snapped open. Snarf meowed. He reached down and stroked him, bringing an immediate purr, before turning to face his people and take charge again. He was Claudus' son, and he would make him proud.
